Affinity Photo - 5 Workflow Tricks - Be faster and more efficient

Comments

Hi Olivio, yes, I am on a Mac. But I think it can be done on a Windows 10 machine. Here is one example - <a href="https://www.thewindowsclub.com/tags-files-windows" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.thewindowsclub.com/tags-files-windows</a> "Starter for 10" is an English Idiom for something that has already been started that you can then complete. Also 'hook' = 'tick' (English) = 'Check mark' (American)!

Hi Kevin, sounds great. Are you on Mac? Because i didn't know there are tags in windows. Also, yes, probably templates would have been a better word. I think Pre-fabs is more of a 3D term. What to you mean by "starters for 10"?

Thanks Olivio, even more hidden tricks revealed in AP! I use a folder structure for my original photo's so that I can find then again. I also use meta tags so that I have another way of searching for them if the photo covers more than one genre. I do like your folder structure for creating the artwork though and I like the tip about capturing any links to external materials. Your pre-fabs, I would call templates - our starters for 10!

Hi Greg, a prefab is just a affinity photo file that you either place or open and copy the layers that you need. so that should work on iPad too. The snapshots is hopefully coming soon. In the meantime, you can simple save the file with descriptive names in different versions, instead of the snapshots. more work, but the same effect

Olivio, thanks for this tutorial. Unfortunately, I’m having trouble finding equivalents to some of these tricks for the iPad version. I don’t seem to have ‘snapshot’ function and I haven’t worked out a way for the prefabs to work. Perhaps Marco is having luck.
