Affinity Photo - Red Riding Hood Project EP 04

In the last episode, I am going to finish up the work, put in some magical light effects and finish the lamp light in the image. This will conclude the first multi video project on my channel. I hope you liked it. Tell me if you want to see more.

This project re-imagines Red Riding Hood, using Affinity Photo, a Photoshop-like Photo Editing Software.

Affinity Photo - Red Riding Hood Project EP 04

Hi Peter, thank you. I'm happy you like it. In future Art Projects i will change the way i publish them and create them as 1 timeacelerated video for youtube and 1 long realtime video for my patrons and as a GumRoad purchase. This is based on both the high interest of my patrons and the low viewer count on youtube for the second & third videos of the project. So it seems like a win win :)

Wow.....wow. I've just been trying to catch up with the 'back catalogue' and have watched this project again. I'm amazed at how much more I gained from this series on second viewing. The first viewing was more on techniques but the second viewing added so much more in terms of design, composition and even more technique. I'm not entirely sure about restricting future series to 3 rather than 4 (although I can appreciate it) - I just wonder if it might compress it too much so that the expressive and adventurous nature of it is diminished in favour of pure technical aspect ? A tricky balance no doubt, but this series was............magical. Thank you Olivio for such a unique, top quality offering.

Thank you, Kevin. Yes, that's probably a bug secret of most creators: almost everything they do i created with the same small bag of tricks they perfected over the years. What really makes them masters and differentiates them ultimately is what they do with that small bag. Most people think that masters know everything about all things possible. But they don't. Less is more. :)

Some great finishing touches to lift the image and well explained as usual. I know this sounds obvious but the techniques you show us are quite universal and can be reused in other art work. I do like this multi project video as it gave me chance to have a go at creating my own composition (as well as emulating yours) whilst waiting for the next episode. The level of content in each one was about right (for me anyway). Having attempted this composition, I now feel more competent with AP. Thank you.
