Multi-Video Project?
Added 2018-07-10 18:15:34 +0000 UTCDear Friends,
my next video will come tomorrow, because today i want to ask you if you would be interested in a Multi-Video Project. A creative project, where i don't just show one new trick. Instead a more elaborate project, that takes a bit more time and combines multiple tricks to get a more interesting result. I was aiming for a 3-4 video project.
In addition, as we have summertime and less people are watching, i thought that would be a good moment to experiment a bit and see if people like to watch a project that spans over multiple videos. :)
What do you think? Ya or Nay?

Awesome! You're welcome! I just looked at Episode one of this project! I'm about half way through, and so far, I absolutely love how you're teaching. The points you toss in there about certain aspects of art/design, like how the left of an image is Home and the right is Away, are very helpful (and interesting). As you go, you're sort of critiquing your own image. This is great as it helps explain principals I was never quite able to understand before, but now I do because you actually show it in action (like the guiding lines/lines of sight). The project looks like it will be fun to follow along with as soon as I get the time to do so. Thank you, Olivio, for all the tutorials you spend time creating and posting for everyone to learn from! They are great resources to have at hand.

2018-07-16 10:05:21 +0000 UTCI really like the sound of a multi-video project. It might be a more comprehensive or organized way to cover all kinds of tricks and how-to's in an actual, functional and efficient workflow. It sounds like a great set up to teach skills from beginner to advanced as well. If you choose to do this, I can't wait to see what project you choose to do!

2018-07-15 01:35:42 +0000 UTCIn terms of pausing the video I was trying to suggest keeping the steps simple and granular and not have 'layered actions' doing things in parallel. In this way we can stop the video and do one thing and not have to remember to do several. It's a small point and I'm sure it'll be fine. Let's try it and see!

2018-07-11 20:53:46 +0000 UTCThat you for that input. These are some really great points you are making. I will try to implement it where i can. The point about pacing i'm not sure i understand, because you can pause a video anyways. Can you explain that a bit more?

2018-07-11 18:50:49 +0000 UTCHi Olivio, I think this is a great idea. A few things occur to me. Could you pace the videos so that we can 'watch and do', this means that we'll have to pause the video and do the actions. Also, could the actions build on each other so that we don't have to watch until the end before we can get started. Could you finish the videos on a nice break-point that rounds off that particular section before the next video takes us further. Will we have to wait 3-4 days for the next video to come along? The bottom line is I think this is a positive move and will allow you/us to engage in more complex and in-depth stuff. As I have mentioned in other posts, I am not a 'creative' as some other Patrons seem to be, but I am willing to give things a go given some positive direction. Hope that helps. :)

2018-07-11 08:02:37 +0000 UTCWell, with such a small community people could get annoyed over a 2 week project (aka 4 videos) and stop being patrons. on the other and experimenting is important. So, thank you for your support of this idea. :)
