The update is 1000% coming this month. And yes, it will be totally free for everyone.
Now let’s talk progress:
I’m currently deep in the strip poker minigame, which is the second last scene in this update.
The final scene? Ohhh, that’s the juicy one, you’re finally going to get your powers.
That moment is going to directly feed into everything that’s already in in v0.20, so it’s not just a cool payoff—it’s a major turning point for the story and the world.
Right now we’re sitting at around 1300 renders, not including animations, and still climbing. I didn’t plan for it to be this long, but the scenes just kept growing in scope and weight, and honestly? I’m glad I didn’t cut corners. I think it’ll show.
Despite all that, it’s still coming together in about 40–50 days total dev time, which is kind of insane. I don’t recommend this pace to anyone who values their spine or sanity, but hey—it’s getting done, and I’m proud of it.
If you’ve been holding off on playing Chapter 1… THIS is the update you want to jump in with. It ties everything together and sets up the future in a big way. Like, this one changes the game.
After this? We roll right into the Ruby update in August or September. If the Ruby update comes in September, there will still be a 500 render PLUS update in August too! I will continue to do monthly updates.
