Kenda responded and leaped out of the broken window, heading towards the location of the black-clad man's death.

The aftermath was quickly taken care of by those responsible, swiftly removing the bodies of their companions, leaving only the intruder's body untouched.

Kenda squatted by the corpse, looking at the bloodstained, bullet-ridden face, his eyes flashing with anger. He suddenly looked up at his subordinates.

"I said not to hit the face of intruders, dead or alive."

Hearing Kenda's words, the subordinates around him all lowered their heads in silence.

Kenda sighed lightly, took out a handkerchief, and wiped the corpse's face clean. Then, he gestured to a nearby subordinate.

The subordinate quickly approached Kenda.

"Give me your phone." Kenda ordered.

Without hesitation, the subordinate handed over his phone.

Kenda took the phone, snapped a photo of the corpse's bullet-ridden face, then tossed the phone back, saying, "Take this to the research department and have them restore the face as much as possible, then find out this person's background."

"Yes!"

The subordinate took the phone and headed towards a building in the night.

Kenda slowly stood up and walked towards the house. Before leaving, he left an order: "Dispose of the body and return to your posts."

He glanced at the thick-browed man, whose limbs were broken and whose breath was weak. He couldn't believe that Luo had suddenly arrived and helped them solve the key loose end tonight.

A thought occurred to him: Was the missed shot earlier due to Luo's interference?

"This man is a nen user, capable of materializing a sniper rifle. I kept him alive so you can interrogate him." Luo said to Kenda.

"He fired one shot, but it missed," Kenda said.

"Yes, although he managed to pull the trigger, at least he was disturbed." Luo looked towards the house and asked, "Is Elly asleep?"

Kenda, realizing it was indeed Luo's interference, felt grateful and replied, "No, she's in the study."

"I'll go find her. This man is yours." Luo headed towards the house.

"Got it."

Kenda responded, his eyes turning cold as he looked at the thick-browed man.

Luo, familiar with the way, reached the study, looking at the wall broken by the nen bullet and the messy window. He then lightly leaped through the window into the study.

Shush!

A dark figure darted from the desk area—it was the golden-haired doll guarding Elly.

"Stop."

Elly called out.

The golden-haired doll halted abruptly, its deep eyes fixed on Luo, its lips chattering and making a clacking sound. In dim light, it would indeed be terrifying.

Luo observed the increasingly autonomous doll, realizing that this was no ordinary manipulation type effect.

"Elly's nen must have changed during the time I was away," Luo thought, looking up at the long-unseen Elly.

Elly stood up suddenly, her face full of surprise.
