2024-09-15 18:58:52 +0000 UTCI agree with Josh. That wasn’t a funnel cake. Maybe it’s just a fried “cake” specialty they do at the funnel cake place. A funnel cake is made by pouring an almost pancake-like batter through a funnel into a vat of hot oil forming a circular snake like design. Then it’s dusted with powdered sugar. I always eat corn dogs with mustard. Waffles are sweet if covered with fruit, syrup and whipped crème. State fairs are a limited time engagement. Prepare to have tummy troubles afterwards, especially if you’re also riding all the rides. 🎡

2024-09-15 16:46:29 +0000 UTCFair food has to be hand held and usually fried. You're not going to be able to sit with a tray of scones and spread your fillings and have a tea pot for your cuppa. The spread is going to be inserted inside in advance so you can eat it on the go.
