The Counterattack Plan of A Villain With Ten Thousand Fans - Chapter 154

Chapter 154

After the Starlight press conference, everyone who had watched the live broadcast went into a frenzy, and Tang's company received over a million mecha orders that day alone. The chairman, beaming with pride, couldn't stop smiling and personally called Nole into his office to lavish him with praise before finally letting him go with a contented heart.

Seeing the ever-increasing order volume, Nole couldn't hide his sense of pride, though he kept a modest demeanor. Upon returning to his room and accessing StarNet, he was bombarded with countless private messages, the majority of which were confessions from unfamiliar alphas and omegas.

Eventually, Nole's attention was caught by an email from a sender oddly named 'A'. After a moment's hesitation, he decided to open it.

["Dear 'Pran', I hope this letter finds you well. You must surely remember me. If you wish to keep the events from seven years ago under wraps, I advise you to deposit five billion star coins into the following account. Moreover, I have quite a vivid memory of you. No need to reply. A friend from the past."]

"Host, I've been monitoring Nole's account, and he just transferred five hundred million star coins to an account about to be closed," 098 reported just as Ling Chunann was waking up, lazily turning over, "Have you found out who controls that account?"

"The account's previous owner was named Mis, aged 485, the elder from the planet you and Nole once lived on. He died a few years ago, but his identity hasn't been deactivated," 098 explained. "As for the current operator, it must be someone genetically close to him, but I'll need to wait until they withdraw the star coins to determine their exact identity."

"Keep monitoring," Ling Chunann instructed, "And him?"

"Lord Nole has gone to discuss matters with His Majesty the Emperor," 098 replied, "He should be returning soon."

No sooner had 098 finished speaking than the man himself walked in, "Baby, why don't you sleep a little longer?"

At that, Ling Chunann crawled back into bed, lazily pointing to his waist, and the man, understanding perfectly, began to massage Ling Chunann.

Ling Chunann sighed contentedly before asking, "How did it go?"

"The materials used by Tang's are all cleared by the military, no issues there. The component factories have been covertly inspected, and no trace of the insect race was found. Allen is currently gathering information on the first batch of one hundred mechas, and we should have results in a couple of days."

Two days later, Allen made a personal visit.

"Uncle, Uncle... uh," he paused, glancing at Nole before continuing, "I've contacted everyone who ordered the first batch of mechas. Ninety haven't been bound to an owner yet, while ten have. Six of those owners have been contacted, but they're in other star systems and can't come to the Imperial Star right now. The other four buyers are on the Imperial Star, but strangely, they all went out the day before yesterday and haven't returned. We've just managed to bring one back, and we've reclaimed all the mechas, but we haven't found any trace of the insect race. Would you like to have a look?"

Ling Chunann nodded, "I'd like to see the mecha owner who had bonded."

"Of course," Allen couldn't refuse Ling Chunann's request, "He seems no different from usual, but at your instruction, he's currently detained in a quarantine room near the palace. I'll take you there."

The detainee was a handsome omaga who was staring blankly at his hands when Ling Chunann and his party arrived.

After watching from outside the quarantine for a while, Ling Chunann glanced at Nole, who nodded, then said to Allen, "Open the door, I want to go in."

"Yes." Allen swiped his identity card, and the door opened.

Nole walked in first, followed by Ling Chunann, leaving Allen bumped by the suddenly closing door, touching his nose in a slight daze before dutifully waiting outside.

Inside, it took a while for the omaga to notice them, then he panicked, "Who are you? Why am I captured? I'm the son of the empire's wealthiest man. How much money do you want? I'll have my father pay!"

"098, do I look like a bad guy?" Ling Chunann asked.

098 glanced at Nole and swallowed the word "yes," pretending to vanish. However, it thought the man next to Ling Chunann looked more like a villain, considering the frightened gaze of the young omaga was always on him.

Nole didn't care whether the omaga was frightened or not; he knocked him out with a slap.

"So violent," Ling Chunann commented to 098, who was about to say that such actions

would upset his man, only to hear Ling Chunann add, "But I like it."

By then, Nole had extracted a translucent insect from the omaga's temple, similar to what Ling Chunann had seen before, then repeated the process several times, ending up with multiple insects in a small box.

"What's wrong?" Ling Chunann inquired.

"His brain is full of these insects, he's beyond saving," Nole stated, "Let's go."

Allen, who had been watching the entire process, was stunned when they came out, asking about the box of insect corpses, "What's that?"

"Give these to your father, he'll know what to do," Nole handed the box to Allen, then pointed to the omaga inside the quarantine, "Make sure he doesn't get out, and check the reclaimed mechas."

Afterward, Allen hurried back to the palace and presented the box to the emperor, watching his face grow increasingly grim, "Where did these come from?"

Understanding the gravity, Allen quickly responded, "Your Majesty, these were extracted by Uncle from the new mechas from Tang's company and the brain of one mecha owner."

"Phantom insects," the emperor's expression darkened further. These insects could directly control human bodies, feeding on human brains. Over a thousand years ago, they devastated several of the most advanced star systems until the empire's emperor and the federation joined forces, isolating and destroying those star systems to restore peace. But the ordeal set back interstellar technology by hundreds of years. Now, the reappearance of these insects on his watch left the emperor unsettled, thankful that Ling Chunann and Nole had discovered them early...

Shivering, the emperor then ordered, "Ael, first soak the reclaimed mechas in N-element completely, then destroy them with the Annihilation Device. As for those who operated the mechas, capture them all for solitary confinement for a hundred days. During the capture operation, ensure to wear protective suits."

"Yes."

Meanwhile, Tang's company remained oblivious to the brewing storm, still heavily promoting their new mechas.

Contrastingly, Nole was in turmoil. Since receiving the first blackmail letter, he had been scrambling to gather funds. No longer the obscure little omaga, he was now a renowned mecha designer in the interstellar community, his reputation untarnished. But revealing his past was not an option, certainly not now and definitely not by someone else.

Fortunately, he could manage the five billion star coins. Breathing a sigh of relief after the final payment, Nole's respite was short-lived as new challenges quickly arose.

After the Starlight press conference, everyone who had watched the broadcast went wild, with Tang's company receiving over a million mecha orders that day. The chairman, buoyant with success, was all smiles and called Nole into his office for a lengthy praise before letting him go contentedly.

Following the surge in orders, Nole couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride, though he remained modest on the surface. Upon returning to his room and logging onto StarNet, he was bombarded with countless personal messages, mostly confessions from unknown alphas and omegas.

Eventually, Nole's attention was captured by an email from someone named oddly as 'A.' After a moment of hesitation, he clicked to read it.

["Dear 'Pran,' hope this message finds you well. You must remember me. If you wish to keep the incident from seven years ago secret, please transfer fifty billion star coins to the following account. Moreover, I have quite an impression of you. No need to reply. A friend from the past."]

"Host, I just monitored Nole's account; he transferred five billion star coins to an almost deactivated account," 098 reported as Ling Chunann was waking up. Ling Chunann, turning lazily, asked, "Did you find out who controls that account?"

"The account's previous owner was named Mis, 485 years old, the elder from that planet you and Nole once lived on. He died a few years ago, but his identity hasn't been deactivated," 098 explained. "As for the current operator, it must be someone genetically related to him. I'll need to wait until they withdraw the star coins to track them down."

"Keep monitoring," Ling Chunann instructed. "And him?"

"Lord Nole has gone to discuss matters with the Emperor," 098 replied. "He should be back soon."

As 098 finished speaking, Nole walked in, "Baby, why don't you sleep a bit longer?"

Two days later, Allen arrived personally.

"Uncle, Uncle..." he paused, glanced at Nole, then continued, "I've contacted all who ordered the first batch of mechas. Ninety haven't been bound to owners yet. Out of the ten that were, six owners have been contacted; they're in other star systems, unable to come to the Imperial Star. The other four, all on the Imperial Star, strangely left their homes the day before yesterday. We've just apprehended one; all mechas have been reclaimed, yet no trace of the insect race was found. Would you like to see?"

Ling Chunann nodded, "I'd like to see that mecha owner who had bound."

"Of course," Allen couldn't refuse Ling Chunann's request. "He seems normal, but on your orders, he's temporarily detained in a quarantine room near the palace. I'll take you there."

They found a handsome omaga in the quarantine room, sitting on a bed in the corner, staring blankly at his hands.

After observing from outside for a while, Ling Chunann looked at Nole, who nodded, then told Allen, "Open the door, I want to go in."

"Yes." Allen swiped his card, and the door opened.

Nole entered first, followed by Ling Chunann. Allen, attempting to follow, was stopped by the suddenly closing door, nearly hitting his nose. He touched his nose, feeling slightly aggrieved, then waited outside obediently.

After a while inside, the omaga finally noticed them and panicked, "Who are you? Why am I captured? I'm the son of the empire's wealthiest man. How much money do you want? I'll have my father pay!"

"098, do I look like a villain?" Ling Chunann asked.

098 glanced at Nole, swallowed the word "yes," and pretended to be absent. However, it thought the man beside Ling Chunann looked more the part, considering the young omaga's fearful gaze was always on him.

Nole, unconcerned with the omaga's fear, knocked him out with a slap.

"So violent," Ling Chunann commented to 098, who was about to mention that his man might take offense, only to hear Ling Chunann add, "But I like it."

Nole then extracted a translucent insect from the omaga's temple, similar to what Ling Chunann had seen before, then repeated the action several times, ending up with multiple insects in a small box.

Knowing the severity, Allen quickly responded, "Your Majesty, these were extracted by Uncle from the new mechas from Tang's company and the brain of one mecha owner."

But revealing his past was not an option, certainly not now and definitely not by someone else.

Fortunately, he could manage the five billion star coins. Breathing a sigh of relief after the final payment, Nole's respite was short-lived as new challenges quickly arose.

If the photo was just the beginning, the following period became Nole's nightmare.

First, his true identity was exposed, followed by his background, name, and then his past deeds. If these were all fabrications, it might have been bearable, but the accuser was not only credible but also had real evidence, evident to any discerning eye as genuine, and no matter how Nole tried to refute, the other party completely overpowered him.

In less than a month, the name Nole and his image became synonymous with malice across the interstellar.

Simultaneously, the military took action, with Allen personally leading a team to arrest Tang's company's key mecha manufacturing personnel. When Nole was captured, numerous phantom insect eggs were found in his room. Colluding with the insect race was a serious crime, especially with such irrefutable evidence, leaving Nole utterly defenseless against the title of human criminal, a label he feared he could never shake off.

Yet, Nole couldn't understand how his carefully hidden eggs were so easily discovered.

In the former marshal's mansion.

An alpha in his middle years sat in his study, his expression turning from hopeful to increasingly grim as he reviewed a document, finally slamming it on the desk, "I don't want this news to appear anywhere else. Our youngest son died over twenty years ago."

"Counterattack value +20%, current counterattack value is 90%, please continue to make efforts, Host."
