The Counterattack Plan of A Villain With Ten Thousand Fans - Chapter 135

Chapter 135

Caught off guard by Ling Chunann's sudden question, 098 nonetheless quickly responded, "Host, I've looked it up. Public restrooms are divided into three categories based on alpha, beta, and omega, not by male or female."

Ling Chunann nodded, eyeing the flames bursting through the door, and said calmly, "Alright, let's get going."

098 felt like Ling Chunann had only asked the question to kill time.

"Xiaochen! Xiaochen!" Outside, the male lead's cries could be heard, "Xiaochen is still inside, he's injured. Grandpa Mis, let me go! I need to save him!"

The old man tried to console him, "Xiaolin, the fire is too big now. Going in is suicide. Don't be rash."

"No! Please, let me go! I need to get in there!"

Ten minutes had passed since the fire started. The house, built from flammable alloy materials, hadn't yet reached Ling Chunann in the furthest corner. Although the flames hadn't touched him, the intense heat and smoke had already evaporated the water in the cup beside him.

The wall behind the house was cracked, with flames eagerly pushing inside. Listening to the desperate cries outside, Ling Chunann sneered, kicked down the wall, and stepped boldly into the flames.

Hearing Ling Chunann's sneer, 098 shivered uncontrollably, fearing its host was angered and foreseeing bad luck for the male lead.

Yet, to 098's surprise, Ling Chunann didn't head towards the nearest exit but chose another direction.

His path was clear. The raging flames parted as he passed, seemingly making way for him. Because he chose the most intense direction of the fire, he had to navigate through flames for nearly twenty minutes before finally emerging from the fire.

"Counterattack value increased by 10%, current counterattack value is 10%. Please continue to make efforts, host."

After walking for another fifteen minutes, Ling Chunann suddenly collapsed, alarming 098, "Host!"

After a quick health check, 098 was relieved to find Ling Chunann had merely fainted from exhaustion. Thankfully, Ling Chunann had previously chosen to acquire the power of darkness, allowing him to endure the toxic gases in the fire for so long. Had it been the power of light, he might not have made it through.

Yet, 098 hadn't fully realized the extent of its host's abilities. To maintain such control in that environment with less than 10% energy recovery was a testament to a level of perfection unmatched by any other mission participant.

The fire burned for nearly two days, and Ling Chunann lay unconscious in a secluded clearing for that time. By the third day, his wounds were mostly healed by his healing ability, though the dark power within him was still recovering from severe depletion.

Now, Ling Chunann was dressed in tattered clothes, with only an identity bracelet to his name. On this planet, the bracelet served only as a proof of identity; no one cared whether its owner was alive or dead.

Looking every bit the part of someone who'd crawled out of a garbage heap, Ling Chunann sat up, pushed his overlong hair back, and examined his well-defined fingers. He picked up a broken mirror from a nearby pile of trash and looked at his reflection.

Despite the dirt on his face, the man in the mirror had sharp features and pure black eyes, undeniably handsome. Ling Chunann nodded in satisfaction, having never inhabited such a masculine appearance before. The experience was... fantastic.

"Host, you're finally awake!" 098, which had been vigilantly guarding for two days, exclaimed excitedly, then bragged, "Yesterday, a scavenger came close to discovering you, but luckily I hid you in time."

"Good job," Ling Chunann acknowledged.

"Host, don't you plan to join forces with the male lead anymore?" 098 asked, concerned about the mission, "Wouldn't the task be easier if you were together?"

"Together with him? So he can try to kill me again?" Ling Chunann queried.

"Right, the male lead is too cruel," 098 agreed, appalled by the male lead's actions of killing his two best friends since childhood for a test qualification. It was unfathomable.

The crucial part was that Ling Chunann couldn't kill him yet.

"Can you find out Pulan's current situation?" Ling Chunann inquired.

"According to the original text, Pulan was saved by a kind person but doesn't detail his current state. I believe he's still on this planet. However, this place is isolated, with limited access to the Star Network, so I'm sorry, but I can't locate him right now," 098 explained.

"No problem. Just keep an eye out for any trace of him," Ling Chunann instructed.

"Yes, host," 098 responded, "What do you plan to do now?" With

some time before the plot begins and the Imperial Academy's entrance test next month, there was a gap to fill.

"Recover," Ling Chunann lay down again. "098, there are 500 star coins on my identity card. Help me make some money and buy a ticket to the Imperial Star." Confident in 098's ability to manipulate the virtual network, Ling Chunann trusted it to virtually empty any bank unnoticed in any world with an internet connection.

Twenty days later, Ling Chunann boarded a spaceship that passed the garbage planet once a month.

Meanwhile, in another impoverished district of the garbage planet, an old man with a face full of wrinkles coughed as he consoled, "Xiaolin, you're a good kid. It's been many days; don't be too sad. Otherwise, Xiaochen and the others would be sad too."

"But how could this happen? We promised to go to the Imperial Star together, to see the Imperial Academy," Xiaolin said despondently, staring at Pulan's entrance test notice, "Grandpa Mis, how could this be?"

"Is that Pulan's test notice?" After another cough and seeing Xiaolin nod, old Mis sighed, "Poor kid," shaking his head in sorrow.

Two days later, stepping off the spaceship, Ling Chunann took a deep breath, "Finally alive again."

Though the spaceship was designated for passengers, it rarely had any due to its route through desolate planets. Its amenities were basic, making prolonged stays almost suffocating. Fortunately, its final destination was a tourist-friendly planet with pleasant air and scenery.

"Host, the entrance test for the Imperial Academy is tomorrow. To ensure a smooth test, I suggest resting on this planet tonight," 098 advised, transforming into a domestic helper. "Also, your identity bracelet is quite outdated. Do you need a new, modern identity verification card?"

Ling Chunann looked at the worn bracelet, agreeing to the upgrade for better network connectivity.

Now, Ling Chunann's appearance was strikingly different from when he first arrived in this world. Clean, tidy clothes, a tall stature of nearly 1.9 meters, handsome features, and the alpha pheromones he emitted made him the center of attention wherever he went.

098 noted that just walking down one street attracted over twenty flirtatious glances, fifteen attempts at close contact, and ten people trying to exchange contact information with Ling Chunann, including betas and omegas.

098, while admiring its host's charm, sensed a serious challenge ahead. The alpha pheromones seemed to have no effect on attracting the same gender, indicating a unique difficulty in this mission.

Ling Chunann seemed unperturbed, even waving at a beta girl who had followed him for two streets, causing her to blush.

098 worried if a man didn't show up soon, its host might be swept away by the adoring crowd.

"I have a feeling, given his absence, he must be dead," Ling Chunann suddenly said.

"Or, barely alive," he continued, leaving 098 in dismay. Even if dissatisfied with the male lead, wishing death upon him seemed harsh, as it would also sadden Ling Chunann.

The next morning, Ling Chunann entered the hotel's connection pod, stepping into the space for the entrance test.

Having spent most of the past twenty days recovering and regaining strength, Ling Chunann's understanding of this world was limited. The original host had lived in isolation on the garbage planet, with the only connection to the outside world being an often signal-less identity bracelet. Even registering for the Imperial Academy's test was done with old Mis's help, so Ling Chunann had minimal useful information.

Fortunately, the entrance test didn't require an academic exam but a basic assessment of mental and physical levels to admit the top five thousand students, indicating fierce competition.

Like Xiaolin, who had secured his spot with an S-level spiritual force, Ling Chunann entered a space filled with stars, facing a transparent screen filled with data.

[Identity verification successful. Name: Yu Yichen, Age: 20, Gender: Male alpha.]

[Receiving body data, please wait.]

[Data retrieval complete, physical condition: S.]

[Preparing for mental force test, please be ready.]

The screen in front of Ling Chunann disappeared, and the silent starry space began to rotate, accelerating over time.

Finally, it came to a rest.

[Mental force test complete, level: ???]

[Test concluded.]

Exiting the connection pod, 098 was dissatisfied, "Host, there must be an error with the test data. How could your physical condition only be S?" It believed Ling Chunann's perfect condition warranted at least an SS rating.

"That's probably the information automatically retrieved by the identity bracelet. You can't expect a bracelet from the garbage planet to provide perfect data," Ling Chunann explained, satisfied with an S rating.

"By the way, host, I've checked why the mental force level came

up as unknown. The test's highest mental force level is S+. Anything above that causes an unknown error because students above S level are exceedingly rare. Only once in a thousand years has a student with dual SSS levels been recorded."

"Who was it?" Ling Chunann inquired.

"You don't think he's that person, do you?" 098 was shocked, "Impossible. According to records, he died thirty years ago."

In the Imperial Academy's headmaster's office, the news of a newcomer causing an unknown value during the test caused a stir.
