The Counterattack Plan of A Villain With Ten Thousand Fans - Chapter 127

Chapter 127

"Blood transfusion?" Ling Chunann repeated, "Whose blood?"

"Anyone's will do," Yuan Congshu answered, "as long as the donor is completely willing."

"Will it kill anyone?" Ling Chunann asked.

"The donor has a 50% chance of death," Yuan Congshu disclosed.

With a 50% mortality rate for a completely voluntary procedure, it seemed unlikely anyone in their right mind would agree. This would require a more long-term plan.

The elevator chimed crisply as they reached the eighth floor.

"Bark bark bark!" At the end of the hallway, a neighbor's scrawny dog tied to the door barked at them a few times before shrinking into a ball under Yuan Congshu's gaze.

"Xiao Qi, hurry and open the door. It must be Yiheng and others," Zhang Yunya called out while cooking, addressing Su Zijing who was picking vegetables.

Wiping her hands on her apron, Su Zijing agreed and walked towards the door. Upon seeing Ling Chunann, she instinctively reached out to link arms with him but straightened up immediately upon noticing Yuan Congshu, "Yiheng, uncle, you've arrived."

"This is a birthday gift for Yunya," Ling Chunann handed a box to Su Zijing.

"The food will be ready shortly. Xiao Qi, please take care of Yiheng and uncle," Zhang Yunya's voice floated from the kitchen.

"Yiheng, you both must eat a lot," Su Zijing earnestly brought out some fruit, "Yunya's cooking is really good."

Perhaps because she had been living alone since young, Zhang Yunya was a skilled cook, a fact Su Zijing often praised to Ling Chunann. Wanting to not disappoint her, Ling Chunann nodded in agreement.

098 was internally surprised, wondering when its host had ever wanted to eat someone else's cooking, especially now that he had become a vampire and had become even pickier, disdainful of any blood other than Yuan Congshu's.

However, 098's surprise didn't last long, as it realized that for two imperial-level vampires, concealing their true nature at the dinner table from two ordinary people was all too easy. Watching the food secretly moved to the dog bowl outside and the dog eating happily, 098 sighed inwardly, realizing its naivety.

The dinner was enjoyable for all, and as they left, the previously fierce dog affectionately wagged its tail, seeing them off. Su Zijing was astonished, "Why is it so friendly to you? It always barks madly at me when I come out." She tossed the leftover meat bone to it, only to see the dog glance at it disdainfully before retreating to the door and closing its eyes.

Su Zijing was puzzled, "What's going on? It used to gobble up anything I fed it. Could it be sick?"

"Maybe someone already fed it," Ling Chunann suggested.

"Strange, its owner only feeds it once a day. It should be hungry now," Su Zijing remained confused.

After sending them off with lingering doubts, Su Zijing helped Zhang Yunya clean up, then went to shower. Zhang Yunya sat on the sofa watching TV when she noticed the gift box on the coffee table next to her, apparently the birthday gift Ling Chunann had brought over.

Su Zijing emerged from the bathroom, "Yunya, it's your turn now. You need to get up early tomorrow for class. Eh? What are you looking at?" Her eyes lit up suddenly, "Is that, is that Ran Fenglin's concert tickets?"

"Yes," Zhang Yunya nodded, "VIP seats, no less."

Su Zijing was momentarily speechless with surprise, "Incredible! How did Yiheng get them?"

"I think that man... uncle with him seems quite extraordinary," Zhang Yunya said, "Do you know who he is?"

Su Zijing shook her head, "I'm not sure. Yiheng and I grew up together, and he never mentioned having an uncle, nor has he told me about his background. But I see the uncle is very kind to Yiheng, so he probably isn't bad."

Zhang Yunya inwardly sighed at the naivety of the girl before her, not revealing that the two tickets in her hand, which would be impossible to obtain without significant power or influence, even by the city's wealthiest.

The arrival of Ran Fenglin in Jiangcheng had attracted powerful and influential people from across the country. Her family, being merely local tycoons, had managed to secure just four front-row regular tickets through connections.

Concerned about the real relationship between Ling Chunann and Yuan Congshu, Zhang Yunya couldn't help but worry.

"What's this?" Su Zijing suddenly noticed another small box that Zhang Yunya had set aside.

"Ah, it came with the gift box." Zhang Yunya realized she had focused all her

attention on the tickets and hadn't yet checked the box.

Handing the box to Zhang Yunya with eager anticipation, Su Zijing urged, "Open it, let's see."

Inside the box were two elegantly crafted ladies' watches, identical except for their colors—one silver, the other pink—marked with simple initials, seemingly unremarkable.

The brand wasn't well-known domestically, never advertised, so Su Zijing couldn't recognize it. However, Zhang Yunya had once seen it flaunted by a lady from a century-old family, remembering the envious looks it drew. The watches were undoubtedly as valuable as the tickets.

"They're beautiful," Su Zijing admired, waking Zhang Yunya from her reverie. Closing the box, Zhang Yunya decided, "These are too precious. We must return them to Yiheng tomorrow."

Though puzzled, Su Zijing respected Zhang Yunya's decision without further question.

The next day, however, Ling Chunann was again absent, not for leisure but for a solo trip to the neighboring Haicheng.

Standing outside a grand hotel, dressed casually with a cap and earphones, carrying a backpack and looking every bit the ordinary college student if one ignored his striking features.

"The host is inside," 098 informed.

"Why the rush? He's not dead yet," Ling Chunann casually presented his ID at the front desk.

Rewinding to that morning, as Ling Chunann was about to leave for school, 098 suddenly announced, "Additional mission: Rescue the male lead (mandatory). Failure occurs if the male lead dies."

"What's going on?" Ling Chunann inquired.

"Host, male lead number six has encountered an unknown incident and is now targeted by vampire hunters planning to capture him today," 098 explained.

Given that all vampires, except the Blood Emperor, could easily be captured by hunters, leading to certain death, the system had issued this mission.

Curious about the unexpected situation mentioned in the mission, Ling Chunann found himself in Haicheng, fulfilling his role in the unfolding events.

The receptionist was a round-faced girl in her twenties named Fang Yuan, as indicated on her name tag. She first stared at Ling Chunann's ID card, then at his face in a daze before slowly coming to her senses and politely returning the ID card to Ling Chunann, "Sir, your room is 1106, located on the 11th floor. Take the elevator up, and it's the first room on the left."

"Thank you." Ling Chunann nodded as he took his ID card and room card, then turned towards the elevator.

After waiting a few seconds, the elevator doors opened in front of Ling Chunann. Two men in black trench coats stepped out, one tall and muscular, the other slender and slightly hunched, creating a stark contrast between them. They looked at Ling Chunann curiously, the shorter one seemed about to say something but was pulled away by the taller one, and they quickly exited.

Ling Chunann pressed the button for the 11th floor. As the doors were about to close, a hand obstructed them, forcing the doors to reopen. An attractive young man with a sullen expression entered without giving Ling Chunann a glance. After noticing the button for the 11th floor was already pressed, he retreated to the corner at the back of the elevator.

"Host, it's male lead number six," 098 informed. "I didn't detect any otherworldly soul fluctuations in him; both his body and soul are in a normal state. However, he seems to have not eaten for a long time and is very weak. This might be why vampire hunters have targeted him."

"He's not a transmigrator?" Ling Chunann observed the young man through the reflection on the elevator doors, "Interesting."

"Ding, 11th floor, arrived," announced the elevator's mechanical voice.

Ling Chunann didn't linger, exiting the elevator and leisurely walking to room 1106.

Suddenly, the male lead appeared silently behind Ling Chunann.

"Host, be careful!" 098 warned.

Just then, the male lead halted, causing Ling Chunann to turn and jump back against the door in surprise, "You gave me a fright!"

"Sorry," the male lead apologized. His voice was faint, seemingly strained due to weakness. If Ling Chunann didn't have keen hearing, he might not have caught it. He smiled generously and waved his hand, "It's fine, just don't suddenly appear behind people. It could scare someone to death."

"Okay," the male lead nodded, his gaze fixed on Ling Chunann's neck. He swallowed hard, took a step back, and pulled out a room card, heading to the adjacent room 1105.

"What's your name?" Ling Chunann suddenly asked as the male lead was opening his door.

"Liang, Liang Youyi." After speaking, the door closed behind him.

Ling Chunann paused before entering his own room.

"Host, male lead number six isn't named that," 098 commented.

"I know," Ling Chunann replied.

"Why would he lie?" 098 was confused.

Ling Chunann set his hat and backpack down on the sofa, "From my years of experience, he didn't lie."

"But..."

A knock on the door interrupted 098.

Listening briefly, Ling Chunann then got up to open the door.

Liang Youyi stood by the door, still with a sullen expression. Seeing Ling Chunann open the door, he appeared somewhat embarrassed, holding his phone with a nervous look, "It rang just now. Do you know why?"
