The Counterattack Plan of A Villain With Ten Thousand Fans - Chapter 116

Chapter 116

The man's grip was firm, pressing Ling Chunann down so forcefully that the fresh scent of blood and flesh from his body filled the air. Swallowing hard, Ling Chunann's face wore a startled expression. "Who are you? How did you get in here? What relation do you have with her?"

Seeing Ling Chunann's fear, the man slightly eased his hold, propping himself up to meet his gaze. "Before today, we had no relationship. But now, you may refer to me as: Father."

Ling Chunann finally got a clear look at the man's face. "Not as handsome as the last time, but a bit more charming," he remarked to 098.

098 silently agreed with Ling Chunann's observation, though it didn't dare to speak out loud. Its last mission in a world of virtual characters had taught it caution; the men there could always sense its presence, leading to a stern warning that left a deep psychological impact.

"Last time was different because he was a virtual character. I assure you he won't hear you speaking now," Ling Chunann consoled.

Hesitant at first, 098 then said, "Host, I couldn't find any information on this person. However, comparing him to the male lead you threw into a sewage ditch, this man's internal energy is significantly stronger, surpassing even that of a prince. The original text never mentioned anyone above the prince level among the blood clans."

"There is one," Ling Chunann interjected.

"Ah? How did I miss that?" 098 questioned, quickly realizing that its host wouldn't just give away the answer so easily, deciding instead to search for it on its own.

The conversation with the system was over in a blink. Ling Chunann frowned, "Why should I call you Father?"

"Because I am about to become your guide," the man replied swiftly, leaning in to kiss Ling Chunann without waiting for a response.

"Hey, 098, did you see that? He actually learned to force his way," Ling Chunann thought to himself. "This is revolutionary."

098, busy searching for the man's identity, thought, "If you could hide your excitement, I might actually believe you were angry."

"Do I not look angry enough?" Ling Chunann hinted for 098 to observe his expression.

"..." 098 remained silent.

As someone who had never been in love and harbored a secret crush, Ling Chunann's expression upon being kissed by another man was exactly as one would expect.

However, the man did not intend to force himself on Ling Chunann. Perhaps out of compassion, he released his grip when Ling Chunann struggled once more. "Sorry, I got a bit too carried away."

Ling Chunann pushed the man away with a disgusted expression, glaring at him fiercely, "What do you want, exactly?"

"I just didn't want you to be afraid of me," the man said, somewhat awkwardly.

Despite continuing to glare, Ling Chunann couldn't help but laugh inwardly, "I thought he had become bold, but he's still so timid. His domineering attitude lasted less than a minute."

"He loves you, host," 098 couldn't help but defend the man.

Ling Chunann shifted his accusation towards 098, "How can he love me if he keeps forgetting who I am?"

"..." 098 sensed a hint of grievance in his host's tone but quickly brushed it aside, shifting the topic, "By the way, host, I've identified him. He is the sole Blood Emperor of the blood clan. Although the original text mentioned the struggle for thirteen prince positions, he was not present in China, hence only a brief mention of his existence."

Two minutes later, after Ling Chunann had tired of glaring, they sat facing each other, beginning to interrogate this uninvited guest.

Ling Chunann asked, "What's your name?"

"Yuan Congshu."

"Occupation."

"Blood Emperor," he answered, fearing Ling Chunann might not understand, he added, "I'm the nominal leader of the vampire clan."

"Why are you seeking me out?"

"I've been looking for a suitable successor. Today, my subordinates told me about you, and I came immediately. Your first embrace hasn't been completed yet. Would you let me complete it for you, to become your guide?"

Seeing the man's nervous expression, Ling Chunann asked another serious question, "What exactly do you mean by 'guide'?"

"In the vampire world, a guide and a newborn vampire share the closest relationship. Most vampires have their newborns call them 'master,' and they also share a sexual partnership. Personally, I prefer my newborns to call me 'father,' and I hope you can become my successor, my lifelong partner, or to put it more clearly, my lover."

"Have you guided many vampires before?" Ling Chunann inquired.

"None," Yuan Congshu admitted. "I

wasn't created by another vampire's embrace; my parents were both pure-blooded vampires, but they were slain by vampire hunters thousands of years ago."

098 interjected, "Host, according to him, he might be one of the last pure-blooded vampires. Starting three thousand years ago, vampires could no longer produce offspring with their own kind."

Ling Chunann stared at Yuan Congshu for a few minutes, "Why choose me?"

"Perhaps it's fate. The moment I saw you, I felt the person I've been waiting for had arrived," Yuan Congshu said earnestly.

"Understood," Ling Chunann nodded. "You can go now. I'll think it over."

"Alright, but newborn vampires often can't control their thirst for blood. If you were to consume human blood first, the initial embrace can't proceed, and you might become a bloodthirsty monster devoid of reason," Yuan Congshu gently warned Ling Chunann without making things difficult for him. Then he added, "If you can't control yourself, I might have to initiate the embrace forcibly."

As Ling Chunann sat cross-legged on the bed after closing the bedroom door, he called out, "098."

"He's in the living room," 098 informed. "Why didn't you just agree to his proposal?"

"Don't you think his nervousness is amusing?" Ling Chunann replied. "He obviously has never pursued anyone before, speaking so directly. Only I could handle it; anyone else might have been scared away by now. So, I'm just training him a bit."

098 remarked, "You really understand people well." Ling Chunann, with his wicked sense of humor as a lover, truly is pitiable.

The next morning, Ling Chunann opened his door to find the man who had stayed up all night in the living room standing up from the couch. "Baby, have you thought it over?"

"Why haven't you left?" Ling Chunann glanced at him.

The doorbell rang at that moment, and Ling Chunann quickly went to answer it.

Su Ziqi stood outside, holding a bag of steaming buns. "Yiheng, I just steamed these buns and brought some up for you. You haven't had breakfast yet, right?"

"Thank you, Qiqi. I'm actually quite hungry," Ling Chunann smiled at Su Ziqi, taking the buns with one hand and gently patting her head with the other. "Want to join me?"

"No, I've already eaten," Su Ziqi said, her face turning red. "Oh? Do you have a visitor?"

"Yes," Ling Chunann glanced at Yuan Congshu, "a friend."

"Oh, then I won't disturb you. Do you want to have lunch together?" Su Ziqi asked.

"No, we have some matters to discuss. We'll go out for lunch," Yuan Congshu intervened.

"Okay, sure." Su Ziqi's face flushed even more. "Yiheng, I'll head down first," she said, somewhat hastily leaving.

"Your friend has a special constitution," Yuan Congshu noted. "If it's not addressed, she might become a target for vampires as a reserve food source."

"Do you have a solution?" Ling Chunann asked.

"No," Yuan Congshu replied, "but you might, once you become a true member of the vampire race."

Ling Chunann noticed Yuan Congshu specifically used the term 'vampire race' instead of 'vampires,' indicating that members of the vampire race could control their dietary urges well enough to live almost like humans, without relying solely on human blood, unlike vampires who consume blood to sustain their energy and can't control their hunger.

This time, Ling Chunann's response was quick and affirmative. "Okay."

As soon as Ling Chunann agreed, Yuan Congshu's expression darkened, obviously displeased. Ling Chunann, spotting the opportunity to tease, asked knowingly, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Yuan Congshu responded. "Since you've agreed, I hope you can set aside at least a month for the initial embrace ceremony."

"That long? What about her safety..." Ling Chunann was clearly trying to provoke a reaction.

"I can place a temporary seal on her, making her undetectable to vampires and those of the vampire race below my level," Yuan Congshu explained.

"Alright, thank you. I'll ask for some time off from school," Ling Chunann said.

098 warned, "Host, do you realize your man is about to explode? You might not be able to get out of bed for a month."

"Don't worry, becoming a vampire will significantly increase my body's healing capabilities, plus I have healing abilities. I'm not afraid."

Ling Chunann, overconfident in the vampire race's endurance and unmatched healing abilities, ended up requesting another month off after the ceremony.

However, at the moment, everything was still beautiful. Ling Chunann followed the man in a seemingly worried but actually delighted mood to a villa near the mountains of a neighboring city.

Perhaps it was a trait of the vampire race, but the villa was surrounded by grapevines. In the midst of June or July, bunches of purple grapes hung heavily from the vines, a delightful sight. A man with a somewhat enchanting appearance was seriously picking grapes, recognized by Ling Chunann as the shadow that had followed him the previous morning.

Upon seeing Yuan Congshu return with Ling Chunann, the man promptly greeted, "Your Majesty, you're back," then glanced at Ling Chunann, seeking approval from Yuan Congshu.

"My successor

," Yuan Congshu introduced.

"Yes, Your Highness."

The initiation of a vampire through the initial embrace occurs at the peak of physical and emotional ecstasy, simply by having the newborn vampire take a sip of the guide's blood.

Yuan Congshu, however, had no intention of merely creating another vampire. He aimed for Ling Chunann to become a pure member of the vampire race, not what he considered an inferior product – a vampire.

After all procedures were completed, a red light emerged from Yuan Congshu's chest, eventually taking shape.

Ling Chunann, cuddled in the man's arms and drowsy, opened his eyes upon noticing the light and saw a fist-sized, translucent red gem floating before him. He looked at Yuan Congshu with a puzzled expression.

"Sleep, baby, you'll feel better after a nap," Yuan Congshu kissed Ling Chunann's eyelids, his expression tender and content.

"Host, that appears to be the Blood Emperor's energy core, split into two. He intends to merge it into your body," 098 reported. "According to my recent findings, this would mean you and he could never be separated again. The exchange of energy cores among the vampire race is akin to a vow of life and death together."

"This man is really cunning," 098 remarked, managing to bind the host in such a manner.

"He's finally smart for once," Ling Chunann told 098. "Let's run away from home after the ceremony."
