NOTICE: All the pictures in this link are of consenting adults performing in role play scenarios.
Literally role play, in this case, as the characters are D&D characters played by other consenting adult characters!
Scenes such as the ones portrayed herein should always be safe, sane and consensual. And fun for everyone involved!
At first, when Jorcy get's caught by the Panty Witch won out I got kinda stressed!
I had to design a scenario that felt, to some extent, believable - with a character that... I mean a Panty Witch is a pretty silly concept! But I think in the end it the scenario made for a really good mix of goofyness and tight bondage stuff - which is perfect for Jorcy's world! :)
I started doing really loose sketches, trying to come up with a concept.
I started thinking that it would be a comic, with Jorcy unknowingly bringing a huge bag of the things that would be used on her to her tormentor. I also liked the idea of having Jorcy hanging from her panties above a sigil of some kind.
-
Having just tried out the MMO game Black Desert Online - where all the heroines are basically clad in underwear, or clothes that look like they fell through a shredder - I figured it could be fun to do something like that, but the costume is made entirely of underpants.
-
I gave her a magic sigil that, just like most other things in the picture, was underpants. The symbols in the circles are chaos magic style ones, where the letters in the word PANTIES has been reduced to a symbol. When I finished the picture, I ended up changing these for just the thonged-butt-like symbol that I put on the Witches little buckles on her clothes.
-
Here's the first sketch that I tried! I kinda liked it, but Jorcy didn't feel anguished or helpless enough, and the composition of it just didn't work.
-
Here's the "final" early sketch. As you can see, the top right frame got changed entirely - because I realized it was more fun to show Jorcy's exhausted state as she knocked on the door.
-
The red sketch is basically exactly how the pic ended up! I redrew Undine The Unmentionable soo many times before I found how I wanted her to look. The key was getting her goofy expression correct. I wanted her to look a bit round-faced and over excited. Just full of glee at her silly antics.

The lineart ended up getting a lot more detailed than I'd anticipated.
The lineart for the prompt pictures where made with a brush which had more or less opacity depending on how much pressure I put on the pen. I did this because I figured it'd be easier... Unfortunately I kept pushing so hard that my hand ended up hurting, which isn't ideal. So for this one I decided to put it on full opacity - which is more usually how I work.
This gives it a much cleaner look - but also having a more crisp brush makes me feel like I have to do cleaner lines and more detail. :D
-
The coloring ended up being SUPER HARD.
I thought it'd be really easy, because I could just pic colors from the prompt pic and go for there. And that worked for a bit. Mostly at the top row of panels. I'd initially planned to keep the picture kinda flat like this too.
Then the problems started when I had to try to get a good depth on the top middle frame.
Doing that in flat colors is... possible, totally. But I'm not too good at it. So I ended up doing glowy bits and such to help :)
The bottom, big frame was the hardest part though.
I knew all the underpants were going to have patterns, and be different colors, which would make the pic interesting. But before I got there I was hating how it looked. From past experience, I know this happens a lot to me - when Im in the middle of something I hate it and want to give up :D But what kinda "fixed" it for me was when I figured out that the background would be dark. Before that I had colored backgrounds, because in my head I wanted the pic to be bright and fun feeling, to add to the silly feeling of a Panty Witch. Then of course it took aaages to do all the patterns.
When doing lots of different colors and patterns I keep having to step back and assess the pic. Like if theres a bit of blue in one corner, I have to add some blue in the other corner to keep the "weight" right. The other thing I had to keep in mind is the basic color theory thing that warm colors "come towards" the viewer and cool colors go "back". So as you can see the scarves and patterns around Jorcy's face and chest are mostly oranges and yellows, and a lot of contrasts, to lead the eyes there.
-
Then I added a bunch of shadows, glowy stuff and... all sorts of things.
The trouble with a pic with lots of details and alternate variants is that it never seems to end. You finish it, export it and realize "oh no I forgot the smoke!". Or some silly glowy bit... And you have to export it all again :D
Anyway thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings!
If you have any questions about stuff - always feel free to ask in the comments! :D

2019-05-31 23:37:40 +0000 UTCI appreciate all the thought that went into the pic, but definitely scale back next time. I love these little comics cause it gives us more of a setting and dialog to have our heroines interact with, but it's definitely a luxury and not a requirement. Still though, very happy to have it and glad to see your work process, it's always fascinating to see how other artists work.
