This Necromancer Just Wants to Plant Trees - Chapter 204

Chapter 204: Melinda's Advice, Friend's Wife?

"I've said it."

Little Patton looked around, making sure there were no sensitive individuals nearby, and then whispered to Matthew:

"And then Reaga wanted to hit me, thinking I was joking with him."

"But when I emphasized multiple times that this was your information, his attitude underwent a 180-degree change—"

"Reaga probably quickly realized that Melinda came for Sivan's birthday."

After that, he became somewhat uneasy.

But overall, he was much calmer than I expected.

In fact, from my observations over the years.

Regarding Melinda herself, Reaga had long let go.

In his innermost being, it was more of an obsession, which was transferred to the necromancer in the early years, leading him to crazily develop an ability specifically to counter necromancers.

Later, this obsession turned into a habit.

Until you appeared.

Reaga's obsession had already faded a lot.

And when he repeatedly confirmed with me that Melinda had indeed appeared in the land of Rolling Stone Town, he seemed quite relieved."

Matthew looked skeptical:

"Are you sure it's relief and not resignation?"

Little Patton coughed:

"I shouldn't be mistaken."

"Reaga is actually a very cheerful person, naturally optimistic, humorous, and good at self-consolation and comfort."

"In the end, this matter is just like that. I don't believe someone with his personality would develop a heart condition because of this, at most, it's just a small bump, and it's all in the past."

Matthew nodded thoughtfully.

Little Patton looked at the guests coming and going, with a nostalgic expression on his face:

"In fact, we younger ones had a good relationship with Melinda. When she was still our aunt, she always took care of us."

"I was probably three or four years old at the time, and Bradley was already seven or eight."

"She often took me and Bradley to the big city to play and bought me a lot of candies."

At that time, Melinda was the most noble woman in our eyes.

She was beautiful and knew magic, always traveling to big cities like Deep Blue Harbor.

She expressed dissatisfaction with Rolling Stone Town a long time ago, complaining to Reaga for a long time.

But Reaga was not interested in bustling big cities.

The conflict between the two sides has a long history and cannot be explained in a few words.

In my personal opinion.

Melinda's pursuit of her career is understandable, and in leaving without saying goodbye, she may not have betrayed Reaga.

But she definitely betrayed Sivan."

Matthew looked at Little Patton with some surprise.

The latter, feeling a bit guilty, shrunk his head:

"Don't tell Reaga what I said, I just said it casually."

Matthew smiled and didn't comment on these words.

Everyone has their own standpoint.

From Little Patton's perspective, the relationship between Melinda and Reaga might indeed be a confusing account. The discord between husband and wife had a long history, and leaving without a word was just a rather bad trigger.

But he agreed with Little Patton's last sentence.

Regardless of Melinda's reasons, she still owed Sivan.

Speaking of Sivan.

Matthew hadn't seen her for several days.

On the eve of the coming-of-age ceremony, her bloodline awakening was approaching its end, and she showed an unprecedented radiant state.

Matthew could feel the surging magical power from her.

This kind of power could give her impressive spellcasting abilities and gain a certain professional level.

However, unlike the awakening of a warlock.

Devil's awakening often required the power of time to settle.

And their advantage lay in this.

The outbreak of a warlock's awakening is often a one-time event, while the devil's strength improvement appears more gradual.

Considering that Thomas, the suspected shapeshifter, was also highly monitored.

In this situation.

Reaga brought her back to the Lord's Mansion, as the conditions in the graveyard were far inferior.

At the moment, Sivan hadn't appeared yet.

The guests in the venue were already coming in an endless stream.

Most of them were local wealthy merchants and dignitaries in Rolling Stone Town.

Speaking of which, the alliance's laws did play a role in reducing the risk of war to some extent.

If it were usual, in the likely event of a battle between Rolling Stone Town and Highleaf Lordship, many merchants would probably flee.

After all, the current lord of Highleaf is a genuine black dragon!

But due to the constraints of the alliance laws.

Everyone knew that similar dragon attacks would not happen again.

As for the outcome of the battle between territories.

For the businessmen, it didn't affect their fundamental interests.

In this situation.

Sivan's birthday banquet was more lively than imagined.

Seeing familiar faces greeting him one after another.

Matthew could only maintain a smile reluctantly.

Regardless of what these guests were thinking, they attached great importance to Sivan's birthday.

Each gift presented was of considerable value.

Compared to them.

The birthday gift Matthew prepared for Sivan seemed somewhat ordinary in terms of price.

It was an arclight bracelet Matthew purchased from the alliance marketplace.

The arclight bracelet was doubly enchanted.

The first enchantment was a powerful protective spell: Thunderstorm Arc Light. This spell could be used three times a day, not only repelling enemies but also causing effects like binding, paralysis, and damage.

The second enchantment was an entertainment feature, a constant Image Capture spell that could be used to preserve photos of specific scenes.

Matthew actually valued the Image Capture function more.

There seemed to be few items in the alliance marketplace with similar functions, but it held special significance for many people, especially women.

Of course.

The main reason Matthew chose it was because the bracelet looked very beautiful.

Beautiful to the point that even a man like him couldn't help but be fond of it.

The genuine arclight bracelet was priced at 900 gold coins.

Similar high-quality imitations were sold for only 150 at the Roderick Factory, albeit with a less impressive appearance.

After weighing the options, Matthew reluctantly purchased the authentic one.

After all, appearance is a lifelong matter.

In his thoughts.

Sivan walked out of the dressing room.

Today, she was wearing a pure white gown, her face radiating a rosy glow, her eyes bright and sparkling, like a fairy stepping out of a painting.

And Reaga stood beside her. When he looked at Sivan, his gaze was full of indulgence. However, when he looked at the crowd, there was an inexplicable nervousness in his eyes.

Suddenly, the music in the ears became cheerful.

Seeing all the guests taking their seats.

The banquet was about to begin.

Suddenly, a ethereal and melodious voice sounded in everyone's ears:

"Fortunately, not late, hehe..."

The moment the voice appeared.

Matthew noticed that Reaga's expression became extremely strange, both angry and nervous.

The next moment.

A woman with a 70% resemblance to Sivan slowly walked in from outside.

She was wearing a pitch-black gown, tall and elegant, with a remarkable temperament. The trailing hem of her dress emitted scattered starlight, like countless water diamonds arranged in the sky.

She looked less than 30 years old.

If placed next to Sivan, people might mistake them for sisters rather than mother and daughter.

Behind her, a strange mechanical lifeform followed suit.

It looked like an empty shell, but inside the construct, Matthew

sensed a familiar smell!

"Mom!"

Sivan exclaimed, her eyes filled with disbelief.

She instinctively took a few steps forward.

Melinda also smiled and went forward to meet her.

In that instant, Matthew saw Reaga's body move, as if he wanted to stop everything, but in the end, he restrained himself.

As Sivan and Melinda, mother and daughter, were about to meet.

Suddenly.

A figure intervened between them!

"You shouldn't be here."

Zeller faced Melinda, his eyes cold.

Melinda's eyes flashed with anger, and then she glanced at Reaga, unable to help but sneer:

"Are you standing up for someone, Zeller?"

"If you really love him so much, why not be with him?"

Zeller looked at Melinda expressionlessly:

"It has nothing to do with anyone."

"At present, Rolling Stone Town is in a state of war, and all entrants need to undergo strict inspections. You haven't reported your identity and entrance permit to the checkpoint, which means you have entered Rolling Stone Town illegally."

"In this situation, I cannot rule out the possibility that you are a spy, Ms. Melinda. Regardless of what you want to do, you must undergo our inspection before anything else."

After saying this.

He turned back and whispered to Sivan:

"Sorry."

"But for now, go back to your father."

Sivan raised her head, with a hint of loss in her eyes.

But in the end.

She obediently followed Zeller's advice and returned to Reaga's side.

At that moment.

Melinda's body erupted with a powerful aura.

She absorbed all the light around, and the surroundings seemed to become pitch black, with only her shining brightly, too dazzling to look at directly!

"Are you trying to stop me from reuniting with my daughter?"

She glared at Zeller.

With the aura unique to a superior, she exerted pressure on him.

Zeller did not step back.

His body didn't even tremble slightly.

Just looking at Melinda coldly:

"Do I need to call the guards?"

Melinda remained silent, just silently expanding her own domain.

...

"Warning: Melinda (Arcane Mage LV19/Space Wanderer LV1) is releasing the 'Stealth' and 'Intimidation' domains!"

...

As a warlock.

Zeller had not mastered any domains.

This was also his disadvantage.

Everyone else was forced not to look up by Melinda's powerful intimidation.

At this moment.

Matthew stepped forward.

He walked quickly and even passed Zeller, coming to Melinda's front.

Using the power of his own domain, Matthew easily neutralized Melinda's intimidation.

He stared at her, somewhat dissatisfied:

"Ma'am, please undergo the inspection."

"If you just want to see Sivan, there are plenty of opportunities for that."

This sentence was full of sarcasm —

It meant that if you really care so much about Sivan, why haven't you shown up in the past dozen years?

Melinda clearly understood the implicit meaning of Matthew's words.

Her expression became unpleasant.

Just then.

She took a strange step forward, the peculiar construct behind her, and asked Melinda in a stiff tone, "Do you want me to kill this mage for you?"

In that instant, chaos erupted behind Matthew.

Craig suddenly rushed to Matthew's side from the crowd, her eyes locked onto the construct. "It's a necromantic construct!"

"They're the ones who destroyed my hometown!"

Her eyes turned crimson.

If it weren't for her mastery of the Sword Saint's path keeping her sane, given her orcish constitution, she would likely have gone berserk by now.

Matthew squinted his eyes.

He reached out a hand, using his arm to hold Craig back, calming her down.

Meanwhile, Melinda seemed unwilling to let the situation escalate further. She waved her hand, signaling the necromantic construct to step back.

The latter retreated with a smirk, saying, "Melinda, you're too concerned about mortal feelings. Things would be much simpler if you followed my methods."

"Shut up, Hughes!"

Melinda rebuked.

"Hughes?!"

"Are you the necromancer from that night?"

This was Reaga's first words upon seeing Melinda.

His gaze fixed on the necromantic construct.

The latter chuckled coldly, "I am the noble space necromancer, an existence beyond your mundane understanding. I can summon the dead, but I am not a necromancer in the conventional sense. However, it was indeed me that night. Someone as useless as you should have been abandoned long ago. Melinda, joining us in the pursuit of the true essence of life and the universe was the right choice."

Reaga clenched his fist tightly.

"Enough, Hughes. If you say another word tonight, I'll have Angus send you to mine in the star realms!"

Melinda gently admonished.

Hughes shrugged, silently retreating.

Reaga released his clenched fist, glaring at Melinda. "Are you planning to wage war on us on our daughter's birthday?"

Melinda's attitude softened, "I just wanted to see my Siv."

"I know I owe her a lot, but do I not have the right to attend her coming-of-age ceremony?"

"After all, I am her mother, and that is an undeniable fact."

With that, she gazed tenderly at Siv.

Siv quickly lowered her head, shoulders trembling slightly, and remained silent.

The next moment, she tightly grabbed Reaga's arm.

There were glistening tears in her eyes.

The atmosphere became even more silent.

Craig, with red eyes, stared intently at the necromantic construct Hughes.

Matthew patted her arm, gently saying, "Please trust me."

Craig nodded heavily, silently retreating into the crowd.

"Listen, Reaga, there's no need for such tension."

Melinda's tone became very gentle. "Although we have many unpleasant things between us, I am Siv's mother, and you are her father. Today is Siv's coming-of-age ceremony, and we should each take a step back."

"You know I cannot be a spy. On the contrary, I bring you a warning!"

"It is of great importance to the fate of Rolling Stone Town. I hope we can sit down and talk like a family, alright?"

Reaga looked at the woman in front of him with complex eyes.

Her appearance hadn't diminished from years past.

Her gaze seemed just as gentle as before.

But then, a slight tingling sensation from his arm brought him back to reality.

He felt the scrutinizing gazes of the guests, some mocking, some concerned.

Then, calmly, he said, "Firstly, we are no longer a family."

"Secondly, for Siv's sake, I am willing to talk with you."

With that, he led Siv and Melinda toward a small room next to the venue.

The necromantic construct also wanted to follow.

Only to be stopped by Lumiére.

After a moment, the music started.

The guests dispersed.

On the surface, everyone returned to a normal state.

But in reality.

The gazes directed at the room next door exposed the deep thoughts of everyone.

Bradshaw and others were entrusted to maintain the order at the venue.

Zeller gestured to Matthew.

The two quickly left the scene, heading in another direction.

After several turns.

The noisy sounds gradually faded from their ears.

The two arrived at a small dark room.

This was where Zeller monitored the entire venue during the last dance.

Waiting for him to skillfully take out a huge crystal ball from a nearby cabinet.

After activating the magical item.

A bright light emanated from the interior of the crystal ball.

Gradually.

A clear image appeared.

Matthew could listen to all their conversations!

...

In the concealed room.

The atmosphere initially seemed cold.

Siv huddled behind Reaga, resembling an injured kitten.

Reaga didn't look too natural either; his body was tense, and his movements somewhat stiff.

Among the three, only Melinda appeared the most relaxed.

She reached out and affectionately touched Siv's forehead and bangs.

The latter buried her head even lower.

Reaga frowned, but he didn't intervene.

"What exactly is the advice you mentioned?"

He asked.

Melinda, casually glancing over Siv, spoke to Reaga in a relaxed tone, "In Eskana, your portal is widely known. Both the Blood Flag Kingdom and the Bru Great Alliance want to claim it for themselves. Besides, there are many others coveting the portal and the land of Rolling Stone Town. Before the gods lifted the veil of the Civilization Enigma, the interdimensional barriers were thick, and that's why Rolling Stone Town remained peaceful for over a decade. But times have changed now. Do you know why the gods removed the Civilization Enigma?"

Reaga frowned, "So what?"

Melinda sneered, "You can't defend Rolling Stone Town, Reaga."

"You don't understand how significant the interests are here—not just the portal, but also what lies beneath Rolling Stone Town is an opportunity for the gods to return."

"With the gradual changes in the southern situation, this place will become more and more dangerous. You need some extra power to guard this place—if you still want Rolling Stone Town to stay as it was."

Reaga seemed to have guessed something.

His eyes lit up, "You might as well make it clear."

Melinda smiled slightly, "I represent a tremendously powerful force in the star realms to negotiate with you."

"Stulock Industries, I believe you've heard of it. Their factories and soldiers have spread across Purgatory and the Abyss. The deeper realms are their playground, and soon, they will descend upon the main material plane before the gods. By then, negotiations will be different."

"I hope you can accept Stulock Industries' assistance. Of course, in return, we hope that Rolling Stone Town can provide some small conveniences regarding the portal and other matters."

Upon hearing this, Siv's pale side face suddenly became paler.

And Reaga was furious: "So you came back just to negotiate with me? The Rolling Stone Town had no value in your eyes back then, so you left without a second thought. Now that it has gained some worth, you think it's worth your personal visit to say a few good words?"

Melinda didn't refute.

She just calmly said, "I thought after all these years, you would become more mature, Reaga."

"It turns out I didn't misjudge you back then. You're just a big fool living in your own fantasy. No one is more naive than you—Talking about interests and coming back to see Siv are not mutually exclusive. Do you understand?"

She said.

She was assertive and said, "If Sivan continues to follow you, sooner or later, she will become a big fool like you."

"You should let her see what the real world is like, instead of always protecting her like a baby in your arms."

Reaga sneered, "So, after more than a decade, you suddenly want to teach me how to educate a daughter?"

Melinda's expression softened slightly, "I admit that leaving without saying goodbye was my mistake, but you also disappointed me back then."

"Setting aside all that, I genuinely hope to rescue Rolling Stone Town from the upcoming quagmire. You have no idea what kind of enemies you're facing."

Reaga said without hesitation, "There have always been many who wanted to kill me, but I'm still alive."

Melinda raised an eyebrow, "If you continue to be stubborn, the Blood Flag Kingdom, the Bru Alliance, and Stulock Industries will all become your enemies! And from what I know, there are already several forces eyeing Rolling Stone Town."

"The Cataclysmic Cult is regrouping, intending to make a comeback; the Withering Sect is dealing with the aftermath in the Watcher's Highlands and will refocus on this land; let's not talk about our Stulock Industries."

"Five Dragon Alliance, Shapeshifters, Rapids City, White Rock City... from what I know, these factions or some interest groups within them have their eyes on Rolling Stone Town."

"When the war breaks out completely, you may find enemies all around you! Perhaps you can win once or twice, but can you keep winning?"

"Believe me, Reaga. Cooperating with Stulock Industries is your best choice. Only we can protect you, protect Rolling Stone Town, protect Sivan!"

Reaga looked at her with mockery, "So, you've transformed into a spokesperson for Stulock Industries now?"

Melinda said calmly, "I am a senior member of the 'Freedom Club' at the Stulock Industries headquarters. Strictly speaking, I am not a spokesperson. I'm just here to see Sivan and suggest a way out for you."

"This is my last favor to you, Reaga. If you don't cherish it, I will take Sivan away, and Rolling Stone Town will be engulfed in flames."

Reaga shook his head silently.

He looked at the delicately made-up woman in front of him with a face full of emotion, "Is this all you wanted to say?"

Melinda frowned, "With your knowledge and strength, you have no idea what is buried beneath Rolling Stone Town!"

"That's something even Ronan fears. Do you think he's really trapped in the Star Realm?"

"He escaped secretly, even in the eyes of the Seven Saints Alliance. Rolling Stone Town is a hot potato, not even legendary mages dare to guard here. As an average warrior, why do you think you can continue to protect this place?"

Her words only earned a coarse reply from Reaga, "Go to hell!"

Melinda raised her eyebrows, "In front of Sivan, you better mind your language!"

Reaga pulled his arm out of Sivan's embrace, looking at Melinda with a mocking expression, "Sivan is now an adult, I believe she can make her own judgments. Even if she's not an adult, I still want to scold you a few times—go to hell! Go to hell! Listen, Melinda, you are a conceited, ignorant woman! You always boss everyone around as if you are superior to them."

"Listen to what you just said. In just a few words, you not only want to take Sivan away but also have planned the future of Rolling Stone Town. Besides the profanity, I just want to ask you—why? Do you have three tits or six assholes? Why should everyone accept your 'well-intentioned' advice? Why is everything you see and say always right? Why do you have the right to lecture me? Have you contributed one-thousandth to Sivan that I have? Do you understand this land one-millionth as much as I do? Fool! Get lost!"

"Fine, fine!" Melinda smiled without anger, "This is your attitude towards me, the Blood Flag Princess. It's just right for my daughter to see your true colors!"

Reaga rolled his eyes, "I never hide my true self. But you, too. You never conceal your greed and arrogance."

Melinda stopped looking at Reaga and decisively turned to Sivan, "Child, come with me."

"In Stulock Industries, you can have a better future."

"I have high hopes for you. The past dozen years were a small misunderstanding. I'll make up for it in the future. Don't hate me, child. Don't believe your father's words. If a mother has no other choice, how can she abandon her child? Your blood and a secret I kept at great cost flow in your veins. These are things your rude and incapable father doesn't know."

"I will give you the best conditions. Your monthly allowance will be at least 3,000 gold coins. After this, you won't have to worry about safety anymore. I will maximize the potential of your bloodline, and you might become a legend before the age of 30."

"Child, don't you want to experience what it's like to live with your mother?"

"Come with me. I won't stop you from returning to Rolling Stone Town, but I just want to show you the outside world."

Her eyes were somewhat affectionate.

Sivan, with a touch of longing, lifted her head.

She looked at the woman whose face resembled hers and said slowly, "Mom, I'm happy to participate in my coming-of-age ceremony. But wouldn't it be better if you could just stay silent?"

Melinda frowned.

Sivan sniffed and said softly, "Actually, since you left, I've never blamed you. I just sometimes miss you. When I was little, every time I missed you, I would go to Dad. Dad told me that you are a very career-oriented person, and your leaving was all his fault because Rolling Stone Town couldn't provide the stage you needed. He asked me to try to understand you, not to hate you. I wanted to be a good child, so I did. I don't hate you, really. Seeing you today, you are completely different from the mother in my childhood dreams. I can't imagine how there could be such a cruel and selfish woman in the world. I cannot go with you, no matter where."

"I'm happy in Rolling Stone Town. I have Dad with me, and Uncle Zeller, Mrs. Wesley, and lately, Matthew and Peggy. Uncle Lorand, who often visits, is also interesting. I don't want to go anywhere; I just want to stay in Rolling Stone Town!"

After hearing Sivan's monologue, Melinda's expression seemed a mix of embarrassment and anger. Soon, the anger turned into contempt.

"You are as hopeless as your father. Of course, I think it's not your fault. It's the result of Reaga's years of misguided education. Soon, I will change your thinking. No one can stop me from taking you away."

Saying that, she ignored Sivan's furious gaze and turned to Reaga again, "If you continue to obstruct me, Stulock Industries

will not only refuse to be your partner but will also become your enemy. The invincible space necromancer will launch raids and plunder as soon as he enters the main material world after the war with the Highleaf. You can't win against him..."

However, Reaga just forcefully held onto Sivan's shoulder, too lazy to say the second word, "Go!"

Sivan sobbed gently on his shoulder.

Melinda's gaze changed several times.

Finally.

She casually said to Sivan, "Happy coming-of-age, my daughter."

"This is my gift..."

However, Sivan suddenly broke free from Reaga's embrace and roared at her like a little lioness, "Who wants your gift! Go away!"

Melinda looked at Sivan in disbelief.

Her expression soon changed from awkward to calm, "I will give you more time to consider. After the war with Highleaf ends, I will come back. I hope you two can be more sensible."

After saying these words, her figure disappeared into the crystal ball.

Matthew saw Sivan crying heartbreakingly in Reaga's arms.

Reaga's expression was somewhat relieved.

He, too, seemed on the verge of tears because of Sivan's influence.

Zeller timely covered the crystal ball and commented, "Melinda is still the same Melinda, always self-centered, pointing fingers at others as if it's her instinct."

"Wait, where are you going?" He looked at Matthew strangely.

"Tonight, it's not just Reaga who has a personal grudge against her," Matthew's voice came from outside the dark room.

"You'd better keep your composure!" Zeller hastily advised.

"I know, I'll restrain myself," Matthew replied, his figure already disappeared.

Three minutes later, on an open space outside Rolling Stone Town, a magic carpet descended slowly. Matthew, accompanied by the orc female sword saint Craig and Samantha, intercepted Melinda and the undead creature builder on their way.

"Ms. Melinda, why the hurry?" Matthew calmly looked at her.

"I think we need to take some time to resolve the issues between my friends and your guards," Melinda replied. Matthew replied, his gaze unwavering.

Melinda's face turned unpleasant, "I'm not in a good mood right now. Young man, don't push your luck. I can spare you this time for Reaga's sake. Disappear from my sight immediately!"

The undead builder, Reus, chuckled, "Let me try the skills of the people from the main material plane, Melinda. Look, they are eager to die. Why bother defending them and getting misunderstood? It's not worth it."

Behind Matthew, Craig silently drew two knives. Melinda, sensing a real threat, asked, "Did Reaga send you?"

Matthew shook his head, "As I said, this is a personal grudge between my friends and your guards. Please try not to intervene; otherwise, it will be troublesome."

Melinda sneered, "Do you have a good relationship with my daughter? What if I forcefully intervene? Dare you lay a hand on me?"

Matthew looked strangely at her, "Aunt, you really don't understand. Yes, I care about Sivan, but compared to Sivan, I care more about Reaga's feelings. If there's a chance tonight to vent Reaga's grievances, I won't hesitate for half a second! Of course, the best scenario is for you not to interfere in their private dispute. Considering you're Sivan's birth mother, I can guarantee your safety."

Matthew's words angered Melinda. A powerful pressure emanated from her, but it disappeared after half a second. In the darkness behind Matthew, two figures appeared – Richard, the Silver Snake, and Roland, the Twilight Bard. Others arrived gradually.

"So, causing trouble on someone else's turf is quite risky, don't you think?" Matthew threatened Melinda with a smile. "Please step aside; we only want this person with you."

The undead builder, Reus, exclaimed, "Melinda, you must help me! I can handle ten of these ugly orcs by myself, but those two legends are beyond my league! Hey, this is totally unfair! I'm only at the Fifth Order!"

Matthew shrugged, "Sorry, this lineup is prepared for the Black Dragon Lord. Consider it a warm-up for you."

Melinda's chest heaved with anger. However, in the darkness behind Matthew, two more figures emerged – Richard, the Silver Snake, and Roland, the Twilight Bard.

"In someone else's territory, showing off can be quite risky. What do you think?" Matthew threatened Melinda with a smile. "Please make way; we only want this person beside you."

The undead builder, Reus, exclaimed, "Melinda, you must help me! I can handle ten of these ugly orcs by myself, but those two legends are beyond my league! Hey, this is totally unfair! I'm only at the Fifth Order!"

After killing Reus, Craig couldn't help but howl towards the sky. Then, she deeply inserted her twin knives into the ground, kneeling with both knees and clasping her hands together, seemingly mourning for the almost annihilated tribe.

Melinda coldly observed the scene. She bluntly said to Matthew, "You've messed with Stulock Industries. You're doomed!"

"Now, can I go?" Melinda asked, but Matthew unexpectedly replied, "No."

Melinda looked at him warily, "What do you want to do to me?"

Matthew lightly smiled, "Zeller has already mentioned that Rolling Stone Town is currently in a state of war. We can't allow any suspicious individuals to come and go freely. Until we eliminate the suspicion that you might be a spy, please accompany me for a while."

Melinda angrily said, "Ask Reaga, how could I be a spy?"

Matthew instantly hardened his expression, "Sorry, but I don't trust Reaga's judgment about you. In fact, I don't want to deceive you. Until the end of this war, you won't be allowed to leave Rolling Stone Town."

Melinda exploded, "You want to imprison me?"

Matthew blinked, "Don't use such harsh words. I just want you to visit my cemetery for a month or half a month. I'll release you after the war ends."

Melinda fell silent. Then, she burst into laughter, "I never thought Reaga could stoop to such low actions."

Bang! A dull sound hit the back of her head. Her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed on the spot.

Richard walked out from the darkness behind her, tossing a tree branch he picked up onto the ground, "This woman talks too much."

"Let's go, lock her up in your cemetery," Richard said casually. "By the way, do you need to report to Reaga?"

Matthew shook his head, "Let's talk after the war; I'm afraid Reaga might misunderstand."

Richard shrugged. Lumié approached and skillfully carried the unconscious Melinda. Roland commented, "Even the potential mother-in-law couldn't escape. Truly, an evil necromancer!"

"But I have to remind you," Roland continued, "this woman has a hidden mark. Today, Richard and I had to join forces to suppress her hidden realm, preventing her escape. Your cemetery may not be able to contain her."

Matthew considered, "Then, should we find another place to keep her?"

...

Twenty minutes later, on the top floor of the Crucible.

No. 177 looked at Matthew with a puzzled expression, "Oh, Matthew, you know, I have no interest in ordinary humans, and this place is not a prison, providing no meaningful imprisonment function."

Matthew waved his hand, "I didn't come to have her imprisoned. I want to ask you something – how can I contact someone from the 'Black Peak Mountain Prison'? I think that's the best place to detain someone with powerful magic."

"What's your relationship with the imprisoned person?" No. 177 inquired.

Matthew pondered, "Friend's wife? Or maybe a friend's mother?"

No. 177 suddenly became interested, "Tell me more."
