First Gen Walther P99 at the BUG Match (Ad-free)

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/headstamp/licensed-troubleshooter?ref=dg4m5e

Licensed Troubleshooter: The Guns of James Bond is live on Kickstarter now - check it out for lots of super cool exclusive options!

Last week Tom and I did a BUG match with 4 different iconic James Bond pistols - but the Walther P99 was conspicuously absent. Personally delivered to Pierce Brosnan on the set of "Tomorrow Never Dies" by the president of Walther, the P99 was put to good use in that film. So today, I'm taking a first-generation P99 like Bond's out to the BackUp Gun match!

Like the Walthers. PPS summer, PPQ Fall Spring all 9mm. Winter Beretta 92 constant trigger 45acp. thanks for the video

I like my final edition P 99. It has an interesting trigger to say the least the single action is not unpleasant to shoot.

It was Ruger MkI or MkII; belongs to the match director.

3rd and 4th? I wouldn't complain. But that's just me.

WayneWiiki

doesn't suit the part IMO. yeah both walthers but from a ppk to that? concealed?! nope.

Guido Schriewer

just how often do you shoot this? I dislike the 99 to put it mildly. those walther modern plast.. polymers feel like a brick too high over the hand to me. triggers are kind of ok but that slide... grip ain't much better for me.

Guido Schriewer

And in keeping with the FW theme, you can finally claim to have reviewed a "Gardner gun," it's just not the 19th-century competitor to the Gatling that one normally thinks of when making that reference...

Bruce Brodnax

I carried a P99 for a few years and shot it in IDPA. The trigger and ergonomics are superb, including the lever-style mag release. Get used to the trigger and you’ll fall in love!

Charles Riggs

P99 as promised! Hurray! What was the other gun used in the first round? Was that the range's?
