State of the Channel: 2024

For 2024, you can look forward to an additional video each week. I will, of course, continue to upload ad-free videos for all of you here on Patreon; thank you for your continued support!

I only plan to offer it as a perk for HOWW.

Forgotten Weapons

Hi Ian, glad to finally being able to support you here on Patreon! Regarding the video, I was wondering if you will extend the acess to the 4K version of your videos to the Ad-Free YouTube version only available on Patreon or if it will exclusively be a perk of History of Weapons and War?

Guy Mendes

Hi Ian, I’m shamefully late in becoming a Patreon supporter, having been an avid consumer of as much of your content as possible for more or less the entire time you’ve been on YouTube. With all that in mind, what is the preferred method for Patreon supporters to ask you questions for Q&A videos, because I have one for you that’s been kicking my ass for almost a year.

jamesr792

You will continue to get all the video content on Patreon, just not in 4k resolution.

Forgotten Weapons

We will be talking to them about it - we are happy to supply them with books they are interested in selling. Otherwise, we do have a fulfillment option in France now that will cover Europe. We will be sending batches of all our new books there when they are first printed, for easier European shipping.

Forgotten Weapons

He has said that C&R was one of the first invitees, but declined. I guess with half a million subscribers on their own, they don’t feel the need.

Terry

It will be a real blow to lose your fascinating content on YT. Any way of reducing the cost of your new channel for your long term Patreon supporters. Being retired funds are limited.

Pumba’s Gpa

HNY Ian and team! Any further plans to supply books to Varusteleka for your non-US subscribers?

Mick Gillen

Best wishes for 2024 to you! Is there any chance that C&R and Mark Novak, and maybe Scholagladiatoria might move over as well? Just to mention a few favourite channels who seem to self censor as well.

J.K. Mol

Onward, and thank you.

5 videos per week - beast mode.

Mrgunsngear

Sorry, the behind the scenes Sunday videos just turned out to be something I just struggled to put together each week. I found that enough things don't come through that it seems awkward to talk about upcoming stuff before it's actually completed.

Forgotten Weapons

Need to add a B channel, soon to be forgotten weapons

scott pochini

What happened to the sunday video we were already supposed to be getting? And the Q&As for supporters? We got the machine guns ones but not the general ones we provided a few months back?

David C

Unfortunately, there isn't a technical way to add those into the app structure.

Forgotten Weapons

Yes, everything on HOWW is available directly through a computer web browser (same address; weaponsandwar.tv)

Forgotten Weapons

Happy New Year, and thanks for all the great content.

Terry

thought your single biggest problem would be TIME. you must be real time efficient and don´t sleep.

Guido Schriewer

HOWW talks about availability on iOS, Android and various TV devices. How about plain ordinary computers in the web browser? I'm partially sighted, don't have a TV, and watching on a 'phone would be a huge step backwards in accessibility for me.

John Dallman

Any chance of getting some of the patreon perks available on HOWW? I'm on both and having things like meet up announcements there would be nice. Even if I'm paying the same amount I'd rather patreon didn't take a cut out of my contribution to you. Keep up the great work and have a fantastic new year.
