Shooting the SS-77: How Good is South Africa's GPMG? (ad-free)
Added 2023-10-14 12:00:02 +0000 UTCYesterday we looked at the history and mechanics of the South African Vektor SS-77 general purpose machine gun, and today I have it out at the range to do some shooting. It's really as nice of a gun as I had expected from taking it apart - controllable and comfortable to shoot. I would put this up against any of the best GPMGs in the world and I think it could hold it's own just fine...

2023-10-14 19:22:52 +0000 UTCI like the rate of fire. sounds much more like 600 but 900/min. nice. THAT looks a hell of less recoil than a mg3 would give one. hey a "soft" target would rather give up at the start of a belt of 7six2 not the end.

Speaking of the Minimi, we’re getting closer and closer to that highly requested episode, therefore the SS77, and other similar Minimi clones can just stand in and serve as the stepping stones for the Minimi.
