Scrome J4

Scheduled for January 28. What do you think of some additional dynamic, fun sort of footage instead of just sitting at a table for the occasional video?

I am also in favor of having action video included as an addition to the table-top discussions. I learn a lot from the table-top discussions, but sometimes only notice some things when seeing items actually in use.

Fritz Heinrichs

I just want to echo everyone else, I think that was a fun way to illustrate use cases.

Action sequences do well illustrating things like reciprocating charging handles, bipod use, muzzle blast effects, ejection patterns, and so on. Still, the tabletop segments are only exceeded in clarity by C&Rsenal. And you cover a different and broader population of subjects than they do.

Martin Morehouse

man I love one of those. I think the famas as totally cool. stupid thought on the chinweld. how about 45offset on picrail as bren/owens or galil galatz/zf karabiner thing?

Guido Schriewer

By the nature of many items covered and your access to such, tabletop videos are here to stay and for me are a fantastic look at the designs and functions. That said, the more dynamic videos are very entertaining and I encourage you to produce more.

Matt C

A particularly effective demonstration of what the addition of a scope to the FAMAS allowed the operator to do! (Oh, that puir wee bairn of a target; to still be hit as it was trying to run away!). You can talk about how much more effective a rifle is when it is scoped, or you can SHOW it: much, much better. And the disassembly that was done was the sort that would have been done in the field. More of these demonstration videos? Yes, please.

Grant Janzen

Congratulations on your very complete assembly Française! (Heavily used and never dropped, not even once.)

Jack Wakeland

It's there to protect the iron sights, but also be large enough to let you easily run the charging handle inside.

Forgotten Weapons

I would like to see more hands-on stuff with different guns and accessories. But I will never get tired of the tabletop breakdowns and history.

Cody Vega

Well, I would prefer seeing more of the effects down range and less of you shooting—no offense.

Terry

With the format experimentation, it's cool to get the shooting integrated into the video and you get everything across just fine, the only downside is that it feels less Forgotten Weaponsy I guess?

GreenRuin

By the way I have often wondered why the handle on the FAMAS is so huge. Does it carry part of the gas system piping or something?

zspikez

But Ian, you are the master of just sitting at a table in front of some books and talking! 😁
