If you start running out of forgotten weapons to talk about, take a dive into naval ship weapons, navy landing parties and all the wierd and wonderful, albeit short lived shipboard anti aircraft weapons that went through a massive evolution in a fairly short time. Aa weapons from 1920 through 1950 burned through a bunch of generations in a fairly short time.

Happy new year to all my forgotten weapon brothers🪖

Will do.

Yep, I will be at SHOT. Say hi if you see me!

Forgotten Weapons

Supporting on Patron and Utreon now, Happy New Year. Are you going to the SHOT Show this year?

Steven E

think I watch kind of... all since 07? 08? I actually get back to the same favs again and again and... . if there's a peak of some category of some "niche" probably me.

Some hope, but slim. The war and sanctions mean that it's on indefinite hold. We need images from Russian military-owned museums, and that's not happening for the time being.

Forgotten Weapons

Yup, that brings back some memories... :)

Is there any hope of Max’s book on Russian gun being published? I was looking forward to that one the most.

I will say that a new FW Video is always a bright point to my day and I don't expect this to change. Keep up the great work and looking forward to all the projects we will get to enjoy!

Fewer videos with more depth is better for me. Frankly, 1 GOOD video/week with well organized new information and full documentation of weapons development and your information sources is worth FAR more to me than 4 - 6 "daily fixes" with most probably containing rather less substance. Anyhow. The detail, quantity and QUALITY of Ian's informational pieces have continually beat the hell out of my own lifetime's worth of amateur research & histotical firearms background acquistion... I'll take it however he feels it best to dish it out. The ever more frequent gun porn of him actually USING these weapons is just the cherry on top.

Still loving all the videos and content. Maybe this will bring back some website memories... https://web.archive.org/web/20100318044650/http://www.forgottenweapons.com/

Looking forward to the coming year! You wouldn't have a Walther P5 in your collection, would you? I would be interested in seeing a review of this pistol; apparently, it ejects to the left and the slide release doubles as a de-cocker.

I happily pay if Ian gets some time for finishing his projects that have been pending.

6 videos a week is insane man, impressive
