Leningrad's Emergency-Production PPS-42 at the Range (Ad-free)

Yesterday we looked at the history of the PPS-42 and how it was developed into the much more common PPS-43. Today we are taking it out to the range - the only time one of these very scarce gun has been filmed in recent history.

Nice display, thanks. We did not see down range, were you hitting the target? As with all the SMGs I have seen you demonstrate, the shells go flying away. Was there ever a gun that captured the spent shells, or did they all just get wasted?

Robert Beattie

it's light and the caliber rather hot. great for smg but adds some recoil, huh?

It looks to me as though the gun was rather happy to be able to do what it was designed to do!! 🤠👍

Was the Polish ammunition new production or surplus?

Great video, for the high cyclic rate it seems to be controllable, and I didn't see much if any muzzle climb. Was it accurate?
