Save Game Issue
Added 2025-01-11 23:33:01 +0000 UTCHey all - I have gotten a few reports about people getting an error when loading from save games. The error boils down to this:
"Exception: Couldn't find a place to stop rolling back. Perhaps the script changed in an incompatible way?"
I have been chasing this bug for a couple of months now, and hoped that this version would have addressed it, but it seems like some (not all) are still running into the error.
I have found a forum post and some info in the Renpy documentation that may be what I'm looking for, so I will be implementing them in the next version to hopefully squash this bug once and for all.
My sincere apologies if you are running into this issue. I know that it is extremely frustrating, to say the least, but I promise you that I am working on finding a solution by reading the docs, forum posts, and asking other devs if they have any insight.
Unfortunately, I do not think I can fix it for v015, so if this is happening to you, the only solution would be to start a new game. It sucks, I know, and I am sorry!
