My review of Subverse. Look at my Demi's fanart!

I'm a game creator but I'm also a gamer! Subverse was the game I waited the most since it has been announced.

I won't do review that often I think, unless it interests some people? But people aren't there for that I guess.

I finished the current content, and I wanna share my thoughts and appreciation with some of you, that are hesitating to play or that played and want to compare with me.

First of all, it's a positive experience for me, I enjoyed it and I'm waiting for the next part of the story. I think it's been told we had 6 out of 22 chapters, each chapter isn't the same size, but it gives an idea.

Global plot and universe.

I haven't played famous scifi games such as mass effect so I can't compare with any. I personally felt very invested in this story and universe, the lore, the politics, I was really into it, with passion, so I guess it was well done for me at least!
I know it's pretty classic but it's efficient for me.

The characters

All characters are very likable and have their very unique personality, I really appreciated it. before starting I had my preferences, but after play, it changed a bit :D

• Blythe is the one I want the most XD Step on me, pliz!
• Celestina has this "Holy but sexy" attractiveness :-s
• the ex Empress Kaisadora, the worst type of person, BUT I have urges to "punish her" if you know what I mean XD (I'm so cringe...)
• The huntress, we don't know her enough for now, I like her because I like dangerous girls haha
• Fortune is likable, the hacker tsundere like! I can't wait for her to join us!
• The MC is cool and funny, for me, I'm good with him!
• Lily, the horny crazy scientist, I liked her but no as much as I expected, she was just like "fuck me" and that's all :/ I hope she gets more developed later.
• Killison, the queen of pirates! Not as dominant as I thought, she was, in normal life, but not that much in the sexual aspect. Still, I as you know I like strong and fierce woman, I obviously liked her.
• Demi was a surprise for me. I liked her a lot more than I expected, even though she's a robot, I felt a lot more complicity and bounds with her. She is my favorite of the current crew for now (I expected Killi before playing)

The sexual content

Arh... the best and the worst at the same time :/ Let me explain.

I'm satisfied with the animation itself (I wanted more but that's normal when we enjoy something), sometimes it's just a loop, sometimes it's with a slider with a c.u.m button, but that was enough for me. Like the visual and the moves.

However, what I didn't liked was "how" it was implemented.

It's not really part of the story, there is no development of relationship, they join and you just unlock animation by earning points, but it's disconnected from the story.

There is also zero emotion bounds between the characters, it could not be a problem for some people, but for my tastes, the context of feelings or emotions impact a lot, here it's just "we fuck" and that's all. We could remove this from the game and it changes nothing.

I don' t think this will change as they already wrote the whole story, I guess I'll just try to enjoy what they offer ^^.

I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not what I prefer. Maybe I'm too used to classic adult game setup.

Audio

I loved it, musics, voice actors, excellent! (I love Blythe talking :s russian accent I think?)

Game-play

I feel like it's inverted from other people's feedback, I enjoyed the turn based battle, a bit simple but this is a p*rn game so it was okay.
The spaceship mode was cool to see at first, but quickly became a pain in the ass for me, as I was dying all the time... 10 minutes of tryharding and then die and restart over and over again... (I'm not very good at game like this,  seems like some people found this easy... arh) 

Conclusion

Even if some aspect weren't  my cup of tea,  I played until the end of the current content and I still got attached to some characters, I guess it means it was a good experience :D
