Added 2024-05-26 19:37:50 +0000 UTCWowie, I finally got around to uploading the full-res version of this inserted page to Patreon! For those out of the loop, I actually retroactively made this whole page the night before it released because I wasn't happy with the transition (or lack thereof) on the original pages 43 and 44. It felt weird for the team to just... not acknowledge Keaton or the Guildmaster at all, but when I was drafting the pages I couldn't think of a way to keep their interaction succinct without making it its own dedicated scene. Some drafts of their conversation would've added anywhere between 10-20 pages... and the dialogue would've been repetitive with a scene in chapter 10. I had been milling on those pages since at least the middle of the Steam Cave chase sequence, but try as I might, I couldn't think of a good solution. And then I was struck with inspiration at the last second! Part of my procrastination workflow I guess, haha.
I still don't think the transition here was perfect, but things are rarely gonna be perfect in a long story like this anyway. At the very least I think I achieved a decent compromise with this mini-conversation!
I've gone ahead and inserted this page into relevant page batch posts, but thought it'd be nice to give it its own dedicated post so y'all can stare at those little details to your heart's content.

The smaller page batches (such as this here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/96849000 ) were the ones that had been out for a while. If you're ever looking for pages in the future while a chapter is in the process of updating, check out the "OBT" tag that's attached to comic pages and you can see all pages that fall under that category!

As mentioned in the post, this inserted page didn't exist before late April and then went up publicly only a few hours after it was drawn (it was retroactively added after I finished drawing the rest of the chapter). It got its own dedicated post so Patreon folks wouldn't have to comb back through the page 41-44 page batch to see the full res version of the page. If you didn't receive the Normal Rank edit notifications for the remainder of Chapter 9, you may want to check your Patreon notification settings!
