... And that's the end of this chapter! It's super exciting having a full chapter completed before the previous chapter has finished posting publicly, and especially a chapter with a major event that's been cooking since 2017!
So what's next? OBT's main story will be going on a bit of an extended break while I finish writing/editing Chapter 10, and I have a rough goal of finishing Dungeons & Damages before the end of February. When I'm not working on Dungeons & Damages, I plan on finally getting started on my original project, Nothing Gold Can Stay! Once I finish drawing the first chapter of that, I expect to be returning to OBT in full swing. Beyond that I don't have very specific dates in mind, but I do hope to return to OBT's main story by May or June at the latest. We'll see how it goes!

2024-01-22 15:27:52 +0000 UTCoh i LOVE that resolving their mutual crushes on each other prompted rune to grow another tail!!! she might have to get that ribbon fixed so she can tie them back again properly! she's at five now, that's almost all six... and man i love the contrast of their happy resolution in this chapter to malachi's troubles, and wigglytuff's own introspection needed about how lonely he is and the other pokemon in his life. i love your work a lot, this has been so nice to see! definitely excited to see more of the bonus stuff and other projects you're cooking, i'm pretty curious about them!

2024-01-21 02:38:12 +0000 UTCAAAAAAA IT HAPPENED AAAAAAA I WAS WRONG I WASN'T DELUSIONAL AAAAAAA IM LITERALLY SCREAMING AND CRYING FROM HAPPY ITS HAPPY HAPPY TIMES AAAAAAA no joke ive looked back at page 2 like a dozen times while writing this i really didnt think it would happen but it DID AND THEYRE SO CUTE AND GAY THANK YOU WOO FOR INVENTING THESE GAY POKEMON THEY HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE (Slight exaggeration there but i have honestly been stressed & nervous all day waiting to see how the chapter ended) Anyway now that we are officially in the Rielle Super Mega Girlfriends™ era lemme just say that I LOVE the decision to get them together before Chapter 10 so the Malachi angst plot and Rielle gay plot don't have to battle for screentime. Now of course they can still be cute and gay together and I'm sure they will be but their relationship development is basically done now which means Chapter 10 can really be Malachi's chapter and I am VERY excited about that, especially now that I don't need to worry about if Rune and Dielle will kiss before one of them dies. All I have to worry about now is whether the Nuzlocke gods will be kind to that poor troubled cat :') Congrats on finishing an entire chapter *six months* in advance (pending any wealthy/irresponsible patrons). Enjoy your break, and for real thank you for making this comic this world and all these little guys. I found obt less than a year ago and now you're the first creator i've ever supported monetarily and your comic is one of the biggest things I look forward to every week. The writing, art, character development, everything is on point and I'm really really looking forward to D&D Chapter 10 Nothing Gold and all the things!!
