Comments

I recently needed a new office chair, and went to the store to find the best one. Comfiest by far was a la-z-boy model. I too was amazed they still existed, but also just impressed with the chair. Sitting in it now.

"They'll call it machinima" had me laughing out loud.

For the Game Pass question, I’ve been an uninterrupted subscriber of PC Game Pass starting from the beta days. At first for free for over a year through some Dell code giveaway deal, then actually paying my $5, $10, $12, and now turning to $16.5 starting with November for me. I still have fond memories of playing my first game to the end on the service, The Outer Worlds. Felt like cheating the system, or being treated like a game reviewer / influencer with your free keys and such. My main issue is just not having enough time or energy to really take advantage of all the games that I genuinely would like to play, and are readily available to me there, yet I just never get around to it. Got a terrible backlog on Steam too, of all I already picked up on sales. In the end, many months have gone by with me having played zero games on Game Pass, despite the active subscription. Until now, I did not feel too bad about the waste of it. With this newest price hike, I think that has changed. I now plan to treat it like Ubisoft+, subscribing for a single month at a time, returning only when I have the time to actually make use of it. It would feel somewhat fitting to cancel right after I finish The Outer Worlds 2, for a while. I still think it’ll remain a good deal to return eventually every now and then, only not continuously. Primarily I aim to spend under $120 a year on it to show their greedy bean counters the error of their ways, how they were and would’ve made more money if they kept the price more reasonable.
