On July 5th I had the opening for my very first solo gallery show, "If I Don't Laugh I'll Cry"
I have been in group shows before and it is cool to see your work amongst other talented artist with a common theme, but there is something special being able to see your own work all together in a room. I usually work on one piece and then put it away for the next piece and rarely see them in relation to another or in a space where they are the focus. It gave me a lot of ideas and inspiration for new work and what I'd like to change and improve on, insights I think I would have otherwise been blind to.
