Well, this is as clear and unambiguous a victory as it can possibly get! As many of us probably expected, the winner is An Offer He Can't Refuse, yay!

So yes, Mike and Julia and Jennifer and Lyla and Lori will be back soon enough, because this month I'll be writing the long, long, long-awaited next chapter in their classic saga!

Since I was expecting this result, I vaguely started pondering a few potential plots for the new chapter, but I'm not yet 100% sure about the best way to go. I'll take a few more days to plan this one out nicely, then the writing will begin!

Hopefully I'll get this new chapter done by the end of the month (that's the plan, at least), but I don't want to rush this. After such a long time, I want to do this series justice and reboot it in such a way that it can become a regular participant in future polls. Of course, this opens up a series of questions, the main ones being: Should Jennifer's son and daughter get in on the action? Should grandpa, aka Julia and Jennifer's father, be introduced into the plot? If so, in both cases, should there be a prequel/flashback episode to set the stage for the introduction of the new characters?

I have considered these questions back in the day when I paused the series, and they are still valid today. Maybe a poll would help... However, the next episode is probably going to be centered on the current cast only, so there's still time to ponder.
