September game plan

So, this month is all about It Doesn't Take A Genius Ch. 3, the winner of the latest poll. I've already started writing the story, and it's going smoothly so far, mostly because I've missed these characters and I'm very glad to explore more of their adventures!

Now, as usual, this chapter is already shaping up to be a big one, no surprise there, but this time I won't let myself get carried away into writing a 30k+ words story that will end up needing to be split into two Parts and posted over the course of two months, again! This time around, the chapter will end at the 15k words mark, more or less, wherever that happens to be. Of course this may likely mean a cliffhanger ending, sure, but after all, what's so bad about cliffhanger endings?

In practice, this 'new month' resolution of mine to keep the size of my stories manageable will simply mean that, instead of having giant chapters with a Part 1 and a Part 2, we'll have shorter chapters that flow one right into the next, so that a big story arch is distributed over two distinct chapters instead of over the two halves of a single massive chapter.

That's actually what happened here already, in this very storyline, with Chapters 1 and 2 , which were basically one huge introductory episode divided in two chapters. So yeah, the whole 'introducing Liv into the mix' plot will most likely be worked out in this chapter plus the next, which will be definitely listed in the next poll, by the way. And yes, it's possible that we'll have a poll toward the end of the month, very possible indeed.
