More or less on schedule, It Doesn't Take A Genius Ch. 2 is officially all written down, and it's a beast of a chapter: over 20k words at the moment, and I won't be surprised if it should push past 21k after the first round of editing/revising. So yeah, as you can imagine, I'm going to need at least a week to go through it properly!
In terms of posting schedule, I was wondering whether or not to split it into two parts, but I lean more towards the no, meaning that I'd rather have it parceled out in three Previews but then post the whole story in one huge chunky piece, like Chapter 1. So I guess that's the way I'll do it, but we'll see how the editing goes and what kind of insights I may get once I'm in the thick of it.
In other news, I think it's time we have that March project poll I mentioned before: ideally, I wish I could have posted It Doesn't Take A Genius Ch. 2 and then have the poll, so as to give you all a clearer sense of where Chapter 3 would then go, but I don't really think it's a good idea to wait a whole other week before having the poll.
The main reason why I'd rather get started with the poll sooner rather than later is the fact that I kinda need to know in advance what we're going to do next, so I can start planning out whatever new chapter for whatever story line ends up winning. At the same time though, I also want to give you all the chance to make your choices calmly and with no hurry, and if we take into account the week or so during which the poll stays open, well, I won't have much time left to get a head start on the next project! Long story short: I'll set up the poll either tomorrow or Tuesday, as soon as I've delved a bit into the editing of It Doesn't Take A Genius Ch. 2, so we'll know the winner more or less when the story is posted as well, which will leave me a reasonable amount of time to start sketching out the March project.
Okay, that's all for now! Back to editing for me!
