It Doesn't Take A Genius Ch. 1

And here it is: the first chapter of a whole new series that, in my intentions at least, could be expanded for a bunch of chapters with the involvement of a large cast of characters centered around the two main stars. Obviously, since this first chapter is essentially the introduction to a whole new universe, there is a fairly robust 'setting the scene' part at the beginning, but then again we had that too in the first chapter of An Offer He Can't Refuse: it's just part of the deal when you start a big new series.

That being said, there is also some interesting action here, of course! But as you'll see the juiciest stuff is teased and left for Chapter 2, which I'm currently writing and will be posted at some point in the second half of February, I guess. It's fair to say that, in my intentions, Chapters 1 and 2 are kind of one huge intro chapter to the whole series, both of them being heavily focused on the brother/sister couple that is the core of the general cast of characters here.
