September game plan

As per the results of the last poll we took, this month's project will be Little Sister's Big Butt, which I'm writing at the moment.

It's a story I've been thinking about for a while now, so I have many ideas in mind for quite a few potential chapters. Of course, once the first couple of chapters are posted, we'll have a poll to see if this particular series should be extended or put on hold in favor of something else. But that's a discussion for another day.

For now, my main focus in term of writing is to try and avoid making gigantic chapters that need to be chopped up into manageable parts for editing and posting purposes. Not that there's anything wrong with that, at all, but I guess it would be nice for a change to have a 6/7k story be posted as a chapter in its own right rather than as one of the numerous parts of a 20k chapter that takes ages to gets posted in full.

So that's what I'll attempt with Little Sister's Big Butt: shorter chapters for easier editing and faster posting, and no need to split the story into parts. Chapter one, which I'm writing right now, will be around 7k words once it's done and will be ready by the end of the month, hopefully sooner rather than later.
