Updates!

Despite my efforts to keep it somewhat slim, this one too ended up being a beefy 17k words story... Clearly the curse of verbosity that's been afflicting me forever is still very much alive and kicking. So it goes.
In terms of posting schedule, I guess I'll split this story into two parts as I did others before, and I'll then post a full length version once Part 2 is out. Ideally, the first Preview will be ready at some point during the coming week, and then everything else will follow from there. We'll see how the editing goes, it should be fairly smooth but you never know... I'll keep you up to speed as I go along.
Meanwhile, there's still time to vote in the poll about the September project: let me know what you'd like me to write next!
