Update time!

In theory it won't be an exceedingly long chapter, meaning I'll be quicker to get it available to you, but my infamous verbosity might get in the way, as it usually does, so... I think by this time next week I'll have a better idea of when I can start posting it, but for now I'll just keep writing and see where I end up.
Meanwhile, it might be time to start planning what's gonna be next, for real. I have way too many ideas, both about entirely new stuff and new chapters for old story lines, and I kinda like them all, so I'll need your help to decide. In the next few days I'll come up with a reasonable list of potential projects so that we can have a poll and get a clearer sense of what direction to take.
Okay, back to chapter 9 now!
