What's next?
Added 2017-04-11 18:54:40 +0000 UTCBased on the last poll, An Offer He Can't Refuse is the series most people want to see me focus. In the course of this and the next month, the series will have reached Chapter 8 (which I'm currently writing), by way of Chapter 7 (which is sort of a double chapter, given its length).
Now, my question to you all is this: what should I do after Chapter 8?
Do consider that, regardless of how this poll will turn out, I WILL be taking a step back after Chapter 9 (which I've got already all planned out) and let this series breathe for a bit. Not because I don't like the story: I really do, but I have other plots and characters and ideas bouncing around in my head all the time and I need to tend to those too.
I don't know how other writers do it, but I simply can't stay chained to one single story line and one single set of characters for too long, no matter how much I like them. I can't. Those of you who followed me before on Lit know I was never able to stick to a series 'exclusively'. When I try to do it, I start kind of 'resenting' the characters, I don't enjoy interacting with the story, etc. Sure, I could force myself to keep on trucking and I'm sure something will come out anyway, but it wouldn't be good. At least, not good enough for me.
So, that was just me reminding you that, even if the results of the polls indicate that An Offer He Can't Refuse is all that everyone wants to read from me and to hell with everything else, I will need to pause it after Chapter 9 anyway, in the interest of keeping the quality standards of the story as high as I can possibly get them.
Alright then, rules are simple here:
- 5$ Patrons get ONE VOTE
- 10$ Patrons get TWO VOTES
- 20$ Patrons get THREE VOTES
Okay then, time to let me know:
What should I write after An Offer He Can't Refuse Chapter 8?

Since you already have it planned out, I say you finish AOHCR 9. That way we get another chapter from the series before you take a break from it. Afterwards, I agree with JohnnyF regarding revisiting some of your first stories from 2014. (Me Too is still my personal favorite)

I'm sure AOHCR 9 will come, and more after, which is terrific and if that's all you ever made that wouldn't be a loss, but you have excellent plotlines and characters in other stories that would be a shame to see forgotten.
