Much more revealing interview than I thought he’d give straight off the bat. Everything you’ve been saying YB - 💯 spot on. AJ telling him “I’ve never been shown this stuff” - “this stuff” being bog basic heavyweight techniques. You can tell Shields is surprised AJ has got this far not knowing these things. Also shields saying “the things you do in the fight you’ve got to do every day in the gym” again not rocket science but has clearly not been happening as the YB has exposed in several videos. Tyson, Holyfield, Sweetpea, Gatti - Shields has trained some serious names. Like I’ve said on here to you guys a few times I’ve never rated AJ as highly or backed him as much as you all have but if this happens I think this is a big step in the right direction for him and automatically shortens the odds in the rematch. If he goes into Usyk 2 with Shields in his corner then for me that fight goes from an 80/20 in Usyk’s favour to a straight 50/50 again. Thankfully we didn’t hear any “light on your feet” nonsense from this guy 😂 Interested to see how this plays out.
