Ronia in Fernland.

We did an afternoon excursion in a place with a ton of withered ferns and shot this set.

I don’t remember much of the specifics as this is an old set, except that the first two were shot with my Lomo Petzval 85mm on a Sony NEX7 ƒ2.8 (The APS C makes the focal length equivalent to 120mm or so.
The other two are only natural light.

I was using a Profoto B2 lamp as a fill-in and to attract attention:

I can guarantee that none of the cars even saw Ronia; they were too focused on the brass lens and flash.
There was even a cyclist driving right by who only looked at me.

You can sometimes draw people's attention away from the nude model towards yourself.

This reminds me of a story I heard about from a model:

One crafty UK photographer had a neon green safety vest with neon orange stripes and PHOTOGRAPHER stamped on both the front and back.

Every time he shot in places that required permission or where the action might have been questionable, he wore the vest so everybody would notice him.

Of course, that outfit is so bold that nobody will ask him if he can photograph there.
He is hiding in plain sight instead of sneaking around.

Brilliant move.
