This spring, I visited some friends in Kanab, Kaela, or @v.wild.art and Ingrid @ingyannajones.
I also met Vivian Cove (and Clara René, Goblin Goddesss, and Earthy Eve), and we explored for a few days.
We shot these in a place (lovingly) called “not so many pools,” and there are some run-off pools, although not that many.
And I shot Vivian in one of the dry ones.
Many people wonder how I manage to shoot on a TF basis with so many models.
I don’t always do that, but I do most of the time.
And the answer is a combination of 4-5 things:
I’m good at what I do in that the models love how they are presented in my images.
I have a large following of photographers, which means they get exposure to other photographers.
I’m good at social interaction, and many models like to hang out with me.
I’m reasonably fit and can keep up even when the going gets tough (while carrying a backpack with gear.)
I give as much as I take:
In this case, I showed them some locations they didn’t know and could use for other shots. I always help people if I perceive they need help with anything.
So, to sum it up,
I try not to be an asshole, and I create value.
If you want to shoot TFP with some of the top art models, you need to do this:
Be a good guy and friend, and create art that the models find valuable.
The trick, of course, is it has to come from the heart.
