CANCELED

Here are three images people have tried to get me canceled over:

The first with Oksi, Anneli and Mimi Desuka. The main problem (of course) was racial: How could I have two (black) women kneel in front of a white woman?

Apparently, it was deeply racist and played into slavery as the model had braids (try to ask a model who spent several hours at a hairdresser having braids to take them out for a photoshoot and see what happens).

That particular pose was coined by one of the black models as itnprovided the best symmetry btw.

It was shot tethered, and we all thought it looked great, and had a cool powerplay dynamic.

None of us are racists, though, so it never crossed my mind, or theirs either.

The internet, especially large parts of the black community in the USA disagreed somewhat.

Apparently, you can’t have a black woman kneel in front of a white woman or (any) man, which would be chauvinistic.

White women can kneel in front of black women, and black women can kneel in front of black women. Men can kneel in front of women, but not vice versa (that would be demeaning to women.)

According to some people.

Never mind power play, which is what this was about.

The second image was made as women supporting women.

The problem here was that the black women (as in all of them, also the redheads and blondes) were worshipping a white woman.

Four women are dark-skinned, two are Women of color, and the rest are white - with a tan - or Asian.

But to the internet, it’s black women worshipping a white woman, which is racist.

We tried this with three different models, and this was the most striking combination, partly because of her white skin, but also because of her height.

The third  is the most ridiculous.

I had about 50 people hammer me about not ridiculing Catholics.

I had researched the Virgin Mary, and there are art depictions of her naked (Nuditas temporalis), which is considered a sign of not having worldly possessions.

I decided to handle this one head-on and DM’d every single opponent individually, instead of trying to handle a discussion in the comments, which is impossible.

I asked, “What do YOU have against this image - i don’t care what you think other people think, but for you personally what is problem?”

Except for one person, people were outraged on behalf of Catholics, a prime example of Pluralistic Ignorance.

Personally, when pressed, they had no problem with the image; some even said they liked it but assumed others would sonsider it insulting, so they got on the high horse and brought out the verbal torches and pitch-forks .

Everyone was angry on behalf of someone else they did not know.

Except for one guy who WAS Catholic:

His problem was that I had placed two naked women alongside a statue of Jesus.

Jesus!

I told him it was most surely The Virgin Mary, and upon hearing that, he was okay with it.
