Bird of prey

Here are a couple of studio shots with Gracie Sweet.

Gracie is a newly started model, which may be the reason for the following controversy.

We shot for half a day and into the second set (these) she asked if I could make her genitals dark so we could shoot some images they were sexy but not showing too much.

I said sure, but it requires some careful light angling and careful posing.

As always (if you have seen my multicam BTS movies, we shoot, evaluate on the monitor, iterate the set several times, and all seems good.

We shot about four sets, And we shot many images, some very explicit and some not. Some are bordering on erotica with no pretense of hiding anything.

(Raw unedited Image blurred to make sure I don't overstep any boundaries)

We pack up and say goodbye.

I make a raw selection, ending up with about 150 images, and send the gallery over.

And then - all hell breaks loose:

I get a message that starts out like this:

"You and I agreed at the beginning of the shooting that I can do explicit poses, but on the condition that the genitals are in the shadows.

I have never been so deceived by any photographer. I really regret that I believed you and posed for you."

I'm completely flabbergasted.

Here is my reply:

"Hey, first, it was not my understanding that all the images were to be covered in shadows, but rather that you wanted some that was.

Second, we both looked at the images on the computer during the shoot so you continuously saw what we shot when we shot it.

Third, these are a rough selection of unedited raw images from which I will select the final images to edit.

They are neither adjusted for contrast, shadows, or retouched, and they will not look like they do here once edited.

Nobody except you and me can see these.

And finally, if you look at the contract, it states clearly that you have the possibility to have images removed from the selection pool - just send me the four-digit numbers of the images (press the i button in the gallery), preferably via email so there is a clear track record.

I have not deceived you and I won’t in the future.

And let me politely point out that if you approach something like this with kindness and concern instead of outrage and accusations of wrongdoing, you will generally get a better response from the people you communicate with.

No bad feelings from my side, and relax, OK?"

The next day, I had an apology "for Yesterday's message."

By now (a month later), she has still not asked to have any images removed from the selection base.

And btw. she is running an OnlyFans boasting of detailing her and her husband's very adventurous and explicit sex life.

I hold no judgment against running an S€X OF, but it makes the above even more perplexing.

I don't know if there is a moral to this story except to be very outspoken and clear in your communication and then accept that there still is some crazy in some models that you can never entirely secure yourself against.

She is a great model, but we will not work together again.

My life is too short for drama queens.

Have had a few of these experiences and the negative vibes stay with you and yes never shoot them again. I will never posr or use any images after such an experience.

I appreciate the concern, but it is what it is and no big deal.

Sorry you had to go through that! The artwork you create is amazing, with and without shadows. Also, your multi-cams behind the scenes are always excellent and so informing!
