The light dictated this location:
Because a large window provided a wonderful soft sidelight, I just needed an excuse to place her there.
The overhead wooden breams provided that, at least when I tied her to the ceiling.
From there on, it was a question of determining what background worked best.
I love the domestic feel of this: It’s a “place,” and it becomes believable. Perhaps in your (wet) dreams, but nonetheless.
By the way, binding someone allows them to play with gravity and eliminates the question of what to do with her arms.
Placing a model on a background without contact with the environment is one of the most challenging situations to put a model in. She can only “play” with herself and is restricted by gravity.
On the flip side, it’s also a sign of a good model if she can pose interesting while freestanding.
