Fatima in the closet
Added 2023-12-27 15:00:01 +0000 UTCThis is still one of the most memorable shots I’ve done last year, with Fatima Kojima at Arsenic’s villa in LA. Fatima is a somatic sex coach and a very erotic being, which I think shines through in these images.
We hadn’t discussed doing something erotic; it just happened: She started a little bit, and I responded enthusiastically, and then we just fed off each other.
From a technical point of view, it was a bit challenging because of the brutal sun streaming through the window and mostly backlit, so I set up a Profit B10 lamp with a 2’ octopod and a grid to even out the light more. I knew the backlight would be too hard to balance out in the otherwise dark wardrobe.

Thanks Eric. I’m very picky when selecting and I shoot a lot of images to get the micro expressions just right. The keeper rate is high with Fatima for sure, but there are always some that are slightly better than others. I’d say from the 3-4 hours we had there are about 100 usable images, which I’d normally need to work a full day to get. But as I said, I’m picky. 😅

By keeper rate, I mean the photographs that you consider good enough to edit from the shoot that you'd publish on social media or a book? When I work with experienced models, my keeper rate for shots is around 90%, almost all of the poses are great. The only time I end up not having an image that is good is when I make a mistake with exposing the shot incorrectly. You really should dedicate a solitary book to Fatima Kojima. I would buy that book without any questions. I look forward to viewing more of your work.
