Herodiade in white
Added 2023-12-16 15:00:08 +0000 UTCI’ve been sitting on this set for a long time and started editing the images in Lightroom a few times. But I could never get it to work:
The challenge is they were shot in the open shade in Lanzarote with relatively soft light, but most of the light is from a blue sky, which is the opposing color to the model's skin tones. Adding to that misery, the rear wall was much lighter than the model, creating some flare and taking away more contrast.
And consequently, I had a tough time creating a look I liked.
The last two images are the first; one version is in a raw state and one, is after development in Lightroom.
I finally ended up with this, and I do like it.
I find the set somewhat erotic and love the vibe; otherwise, I would have ditched it long ago.
