Reaching for the sky

She contacted me some weeks before while I was in LA and asked if I wanted to shoot with her. I said I’d love to, but the only chance would be the morning before I flew home from Las Vegas.
Two weeks later, I picked her up at 4 a.m. at the Vdara hotel, and we drove out to the lakebed and shot these (among some other images.)
Then we drove back to Vegas, had breakfast on the balcony of the Paris Hotel where I was staying, packed up my stuff, checked out of the hotel, and drove to the airport.
And then the flight was ten hours delayed.
She asked to remain anonymous to avoid the potential backlash from prudish Americans.
