Is FON better than Orvar against Creativity?

I have gotten this question a lot so here is the answer: Force of Negation (FON) is better.

In the creativity matchup, we want to be very aggressive because their mana is painful, and it gives them less time to find all the cards they need to protect their combo. Orvar is a reactive card which puts us in the control role to a certain extent. It does nothing until they decide they want to put archon into play. They have lots of control cards like binding and teferi which gives them freedom to wait longer, while we have a dead card in hand. FON it more flexible. If your hand calls for it, we can counter fable or Wrenn and Six at a pivotal moment and pressure them very hard. FON is not meant to be a control card, its a tempo card so we must apply pressure while using FON. This does NOT mean counter every bolt or binding, you need to have a plan.

Finally, when talking with Beekeeper, a creativity expert, he informed us creativity players often will sideboard out 2 creativity because they know the card is clunky and hard to resolve when we have explosives postboard. So FON giving more flexibility in what payoff to counter is even more important because they will still have 4 fable, teferi and wrenn.

Not to mention you might pair against living end, rhinos, and other non-creature spell based decks where FON can really help out!
