This episode had three different titles at various points in its production.

Given the horror element and Spike's transitions thru out the story this a REALLY fun one to work on. Dong the episode at the time, I was slightly haunted by the implications for Spike as a person. I figured he might feel the same which is why I added a shot toward the end where he's holding his hand up to his "adult form"s foot print. "Is that what I'm going to become?"

Also, there was an interesting cut we made. When Spike was going to confess all of his love to Rarity, there was originally a line she said when she put her hoof to his mouth... something like "Don't say it! Or it'll be REALLY REALLY awkward!"

When David Dick (the other board artist) and I read thru, we both thought it was a bit mean to undercut Spikes emotions, so we simply cut Rarity's line. In the final version, Rarity DOES cut Spike off but they share a knowing look instead of speaking.
