MLP: "Crystal Caverns" A Canterlot Wedding Thumbnail Storyboards
Added 2024-07-04 18:42:44 +0000 UTCHere's a section I thumbnailed & storyboarded for the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Episode "A Canterlot Wedding".
It was a very fun and rewarding production. We challenged ourselves and it really paid off.
This part is underneath the Crystal Caves where the "Fake" Cadence reveals her true intentions to Twilight.
I wanted to play this part PITCH BLACK with only Twilight's horn as the source of light. Apparently this was very hard to pull off in flash, something I didn't know.
James Wootton, the director on this part of the ep, talked it over with me and ultimately we decided: We're gonna do it! I wish to god I could explain the technical reasons this was difficult but I can't remember what he said other than something about Mattes. Wootie is basically a technical genius. lol
So anyway, this is why I proceeded to draw these thumbnails and the cleaned up storyboards with black as a background instead of white! It was a neat experiment.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but would there be any way to possibly get a printed copy of these from you? If not then no worries! Still gonna appreciate them here either way. :)
