Peeps! Today, we want to wish you all an amazing time off and a perfect time to recharge the batteries for the upcoming year. Wether you're "into" Christmas or not (we aren't really), just enjoy your time, okay? ;D

To get that out of the way, there's no dedicated christmas special this year. But the good news is: that's because we have been doing all kinds of important stuff to make sure the coding can go as smooth as possible. As Cucu already hinted, the first menu screens have already been finalized in design and even implemented, while we drove to a day-long meeting with our partners to work on the game mechanics, especially in the meta game and set some rules and guidelines for balancing and level design. They also got a new level designer who will be on the project, too :) This gives us greatly increased potential to build better and especially more levels for lots of variation!

We also decided to do another iteration of the Date Mode Cards and the Deck building system to make it more exciting and the cards themselves more unique. I'm pretty sure we're on to something by now :) Downside it, that changes like this affect a couple of otherwise already finalized screens and UI Elements, so that decisions like this cost quite some time. However, we believe that the benefit in fun and engagement will more than make up for it!

There's also a possible change to X-Mode that we are currently working on. From the start, there have been comments about how the animation and the gameplay are in two different parts of the screen, making it feel like you need to ignore one of them in order to propertly notice what happens in the other. We have always been aware of that and were not fully satisfied with it either, but just now started to once again look for a way to connect everything better optically. We are not yet sure if it will work out as good as we'd like, but we are experimenting with different approaches to finally make the best of this flaw.

Okay I guess I don't want to start rambling at this points, but I can say that we want to give you a little more as an apology for the missing christmas artwork, so we will post a lot more art updates than usual for the next week or so :) We've got all kinds of stuff ready for you like artworts of all kinds, sound bits, animations, soundtrack pieces... What would you like to see - or hear?
