So that we're on the same page... Surprise is still in effect as you approach, while you stop being hidden and lose Advantage. And Invisibility grants you Advantage even though it can see you Predator-style. Yes, makes perfect sense! /s

Sounds like Darkness is the new meta. I'm still giggling over "Invisibility gives you Advantage, even if the enemy is glaring at you and watching you approach" decision. Oh well, D&D loves "ask your DM!" as an escape hatch whenever a design issue comes up.
