Early Mr. Meagles

As I've said before, he's based on a little kitty who was near and dear to my heart: A siberian named Mr. Meowgi.
I had never met such an intelligent cat. I felt like we could almost talk to eachother. I would show him visually how to do things and he would repeat my steps. He looked like he had favorite songs. Would come running when I whistled for him. It was more communication than I've ever seen from a cat.
His confidence was an inspiration to me π I still love him so much.
I apologize, the next bit is emotionally difficult. Possibly hard to read if you are easily triggered regarding animals.
We were forced to euthanize him because we couldn't afford the $7000+ to keep him alive. We couldn't even feed ourselves. I despise that I had to make a decision like that about his life. He was suffering and the vet wouldn't even give us a choice. It was pay up or put him to sleep. Because of his level of suffering.
It still crushes me.
