I often have terrifying dreams of the world ending. Due to trauma, these nightmares never fully go away.
Some feel hyper-real because they're entwined with fragments of memory.
The brain can be surprisingly literal when it's trying to tell you something.
This drawing is based on a nightmare I had a couple years ago that felt especially real:
Getting off the last stop on the elevator, me and my friend were in the basement. I looked to my right and saw an orange & green room with a pile of hair lying on the ground.
It was shiny and uniform, there was a bump underneath that looked like a figure --i thought it was a dog.
There was commotion to my left so I turned. People were coming down the hall to attack me and my friend.
I turned right again to look at the pile of hair:
Now it was standing up and obviously human. Long hair grew from everywhere instead of skin.
It's mouth lolled open and a bucket of saliva poured from where it's jaw should have been.
It started chasing me.
I woke up...
Good morning everybody! ❤️
