Update on the Orc Chapters & Upcoming Rewrites

Some of you might have noticed a few chapters disappearing recently — and you’re not imagining things. After looking over feedback and rereading the Orc arc, I’ve decided to rewrite and compress that section of the story.
While I really like Kargak and the ideas behind his storyline, the pacing pulled us too far away from the main threads — Daniel, the girls, Caleb, and the larger narrative momentum. To keep the story moving and focused, I’ll be condensing everything into a single reflection-style chapter that captures the essential backstory and tone without dragging the pacing.
That said, I don’t want anyone to miss out on what I originally envisioned. I’ll be posting the full Orc chapters together in a separate post so anyone who wants to read that version can still enjoy it. Everyone will have access to that archive post once it’s up.
Thanks, as always, for the thoughtful feedback and patience while I fine-tune the story. I’m excited to get back to the main crew and the arcs we’ve all been waiting for!
