And that’s no bologna! That’s my awkward wordplay of Bel and Oni. It was a good enough pun for the description, but not good enough to be actual dialogue in the comic.

2024-10-14 04:45:34 +0000 UTCIt’s a good angle! Obviously “horns” doesn’t rhyme so well with “born” so Angela is vindicated. I was trying to think how the monster essence would ‘attack’ a la with Winifred so I was imagining horns would result in a minotaur or something, whereas cloven hooves would get us something like a faun or centaur. This makes much more sense as a sort of ironic play on Bel’s “true” monster form! I wonder if I should keep that in mind while I try to guess what’ll happen to Shelley…

2024-10-14 04:37:58 +0000 UTCMy first idea was to make her an angel instead of a devil, but it seemed too obvious. Couldn’t think of a good trigger for that spell, either. The wrong number of horns felt like a proper Angela gaffe.
